Trying to re-install Myst IV and about 2/3 of the way thru install on 2nd disk we get this error:
Feature ***IS_STRING_NOT_DEFINED***
Component English data files
File G:\common\data\english\data.m4b
error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
This has been installed on this computer earlier using the same disk set. They are clean. Drive works with other DVDs. Any thoughts?

As a first step, take a look at IS_STRING_NOT_DEFINED solution. Post back if that doesn't help.

Thanks but that didn't work either - although, the dvd was recognized this time, I found other posts and tried them to....,clean ups et al. This is an ooolllddd 'puter(with other problems) and I think its time to ask Santa for a new one! Keep up the good work....

BTW, you might want to consider ordering your new PC with Windows XP as the operating system, and NOT Vista. Why? Just Google Vista problems - you'll get something like 3.4 million hits....
