OK, your system is considerably different than mine. You have a dual quad-core CPU (I think that's right) and you are running Tiger rather than the Apple-supplied Leopard (Mac OS 10.5) operating system. Myst IV may not like that quad-core system, although that's just speculation on my part. I suggest you post your question on the Apple Discussions Forum.

Okay, I'm now terribly confused.
You said that you're using a G5 processor, but an Intel Xeon, by no stretch of the imagination, is a G5. A G5 uses a Power PC architecture (PPC for short), while the Xeon uses an x86 CPU architecture. Apples and oranges; the differences between the two are far more than significant. You have an Intel Mac, a Mac Pro to be precise, and the last I heard, Intel Macs weren't able to run Myst IV.
My profiler also says that there aren't any displays connected to my video card. I think this is because my monitor needs a DVI to VGA adapter in order for my Mac to use it. Shouldn't be anything to worry about. To the world, you are only one person. But to one person, you are the world. ~unknown |
