I'm on Vista SP1 with latest drivers installed and a 8800GTX card. The 1.03 patch is installed.
After the game has started and displayed the book, a hand appear that I can control with the mouse. But the hand is stuck on the left and I can only move it vertically. It is impossible to move it horizontally. If I plug another mouse (I suppose it will use another driver), I have the same problem.
Since I have a core 2 Duo, I tried to set the processor affinity with no improvement. I also tried different compatibility settings (since I am on Vista) but it didn't work either.
Note that I never had this problem with any other games or softwares...
My computer is supposed to be virus/spyware free.
Any hints ?

Welcome back. It's been a while...and you have a new PC!

Suggestions:

1. Update your video, sound, and mouse drivers to the latest Vista versions from your PC manufacturer or the respective equipment manufacturers. Reboot between driver installations.

2. If that doesn't help, uninstall Revelation using the Control Panel Add or Remove Programs utility. (Click on Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.) Then reboot, and re-install Revelation to your C: drive. Accept the install defaults whenever possible.

I reinstalled the very latest mouse and graphic driver (the sound driver was already up to date).
I reinstalled Revelation with defaults settings.
It still doesn't work.

If I disable the UAC and reboot, then the mouse cursor (a hand) disappears. Same thing if I run Revelation in administrator mode (while UAC is enabled).

If I try compatibility modes (XP, 2000, ...) the mouse cursor disappears. But appears again with "Windows 95".

As mentioned in another thread, I also tried to disable Aero and installed 1.02 patch and then 1.03 but with no success.

It seems that my problem is not new.

These 2 users had the same problem as I did (hand cursor is blocked on the left edge on the screen and can only move vertically)
But I saw no solution...

I finally decided to install Windows XP on the same machine on another partition. Revelation works perfectly on XP.
