Hello everyone. So, I had Prince of Persia The Two Thrones installed on my PC formerly, and had no problems with the game... But after a reformat and re-installation of the game I have experienced a serious problem with the game. The problem is, that whenever I access the game, it either accelerates or slows down as hell!!
I tried maxing the graphics and putting them at the lowest level, and still, the same problem! I've read the Readme file and it says that I have to try setting a constant CPU frequency in my PC's bios... But how to do it??? And does it really solve the problem? Has anyone had this problem before? If you know how to solve this out, any help would be appreciated

OS: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2(Should I upgrade to Service Pack 3?)
Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU 2160 @ 1.80GHz (Dual-Core of course)
Memory: 1GB of RAM
Graphics card: ATi Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series (512MB)
DirectX 9.0c installed
And... I don't know if that helps really, but my PC System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.

I only own a single cpu computer, but what you describe sounds like the "typical problem" encountered by people playing legacy games on a computer with more than one cpu.
The legacy games were written, programmed, and published when mainstream consumer home computers only had one cpu.
Have you read the threads that describe how to intentionally run the game on only one cpu?

No I haven't read those threads you're talking about... Where can I find them? Thanks.

I'm having this problem right now. Generally it helps to set set the CPU affinity to only one core. But often it slows down as hell... It is annoying, so that I have to re-launch it a couple of times. Unfortunately I still haven't found a final solution.
