I've just installed POP 2 the game works fine until the first save point then it freezes for a moment without crash and then returns to normal but I receive a message tells that VPU Recover has restarted my GPU and the game freezes again and the message appears the same as the first time, afterwards the game crashes entirely and I couldn't go back to the desktop.
I've tried to reinstall the game, run in compatibility of different OS but nothing is working. P.S: 1- My PC passes all the requirements in the splash screen. 2- The other POP games works works for me like a charm. There are work-around tips for dual core or quad core computers.
I am just a game player with a single cpu. I do not know why one game would work and another game to not work. The game was published when PC computers only had one cpu around 1 to 2 GHz speed. You probably need to help instruct the computer to only use one cpu while you play the game. I have not employed any of the following since I do not yet have a multiple cpu computer. The following are a compilation of what I have historically noticed. A) The boot.ini file is usually a "hidden system" file that you may not edit until you change its attributes. Ask if you need more assistance with finding that file. edit your C:\boot.ini adding a new line to the file: max_cpu = 0 OR B) launch <whicheverPrinceOfPersia>.exe Wait for the main menu. Press ctrl+alt+del to open the windows task manager. Click on the [processes] tab. Find the appropriate POP.exe process. Right click it. Click "set affinity". Uncheck CPU 0 in order to turn off the processor. Then return to the POP game. OR C) Create a text batch file containing: start /affinity 1 <whicheverPrinceOfPersia>.exe That lets you keep your multicore performance for other apps, but the game process will work only on the first core. That solution fixed every dual-core related problem for one game player: game too fast, sliding down a chain, and a lot of audio out of sync in T2T. |

Thanks mate for your care and I apologize for the delay.
I've tried all the methods mentioned but the problem still exists,I'm not sure if is it a multi-core processor issue could be something else ? I'll google for a little help and I'll follow this post too for any brand new solutions. I appreciate your efforts. regards. |
