Hi every body

Here is my problem, I played POP the sands of time years ago using my computer wich has the following configuration:

PC (2,8 Ghz processor, 258 RAM and a graphic cardet FX 5200, winodws XP)

days ago, I wanted to play it again in my new computer to experience the game with its full capacities on my new computer wich had this configuration:

Core 2 duo 2.1 Ghz, 3 GB RAM graphhic card Geforce 8400M, windows Vista famimliale premium)

and I was surprised that the game is running ery slow even when setting graphics to the low settings, I ve also tried to use one processor (using the affinity from the task manager window) to play the game, I used the patch for the 6800 Geforce card, disable the filtration from my Nvidia pannel...

But I got no result... the game is running very slow...

also in your Nvidia Control Panel you can try disabling Antialiasing & Anisotropic filtering, or make sure they are set to "Application Controlled". Since the game isn't designed to run on windows Vista though, I would try running it in compatibility mode. Use the steps below for this

1. Right-Click the game icon
2. Choose "Properties"
3. Switch to the compatibility tab
4. In the Compatibility mode section, Choose to run the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP
5. Choose "Apply" & "OK"


If this doesn't improve the performance, maybe try closing some running background applications using the steps listed below

1. Open the windows Start Menu
2. find the "Start Search" text area at the bottom
3. Type MSCONFIG
4. Press "Enter" on the keyboard
5. Choose "Selective Startup"
6. Disable "Load Startup Item"
7. Click "Apply"
8. Click "Close/OK"
9. Restart the system
