I've just bought and downloaded the new POP for Mac and I've got a problem that makes me impossible to play!! I've got a MacBook Pro Early 2008 with a 8600GT card, which is enough for the specs, and in fact the game runs smoothly... EXCEPT during the sword fights!
There's a fight just after the beginning of the game and everytime my sword hits the enemy's sword creates a sparkle fountain that is very effective but, I guess, beyond the capabilities of my card. And there's no way to disable this, since it appears even at low quality (which anyway is not a good solution since on my mac the game have a good FPS rate even at normal quality)

With those sparkles the game becomes so sluggish to be absolutely unusable.
I've found a configuration file but I don't know how to edit.
Please help me!
Thanks!!
Enrico

This isn't a flaw - it's normal. I have a beastly 2008 Mac Pro with the same issue. The game slows down to teach you how to use the fist attack. Unfortunately the UI is so badly written that I've given up trying to play with my keyboard and mouse and will have to buy a control pad to get any further.

My thanks to Ubisoft for failing to mention the horrible lack of standard control support.

As a plus the game looks utterly gorgeous so I'm going to have to assume it's worth the additional £20
