Okey guys ima try to keep ya inform about the new updates and the final released date for the game .I am taking my own time to try to keep ya inform since the workers from Ubisoft dont know how to do that . I have talk to Ubisoft and Bestbuy and they have come out with the final release date for the game . They still working on it ,thats why they havent give any updates to the site or to the forum . New videos of the game should be starting to appear in the official game website so make sure ya come by . The game was not cancelled or would be cancelled but its gonna cost more though . The new price is $39.99 . The reason why the price when up its because they been working on the game and they fixing all the glitches . I also heard that the graphics got better . I would update the information if there is any change .
Game Info: Title:America's Army:Rise Of A Soldier Developer:Secret Level Publisher:Ubisoft Release Date: 11/15/2006
P.S Thats the final release date . The game would not come out later than the date posted above .
Where did you get this info from? I have been talking to the same two and the info I received was either delayed until august, UBI was going to refund money to people who pre-ordered, or my favorite: released but backordered-WTF(note: yesterdays response from me).
Yeah well,if its coming out this month they had better hurry seeing as how July is almost over, about 2 weeks left if memory serves me correctly.I dont think its coming out this month, but i sure hope its soon.I've been following this game since it was announced and i would really like to play it.
I have been waiting soooooooo long for this. Ever since the free version for the computer got too "advanced" for my computer (not surprised since its over 3 and a half years old) I have been waiting...and praying...cuz playing it at my friends house once a week or less just get me more excited about this game.
AA still hasnt been released for the ps2? LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA STUPID PS2ERS. its been out for xbox for almost a year now.
As I told DanMan (the one flaming about this tim cummings), Americas Army Rise of a Soldier isn't going to be made at least for another year.(My estimate) I pre-ordered nearly a year ago, and I got a "refund" which BTW sucks. Here's the exact message I recieved in my email:
Americas Army for the PS2 has been delayed and at this time Ubisoft can not confirm a ship date for the game. Ubisoft is canceling all of the pre-orders made over our online store and many of the retailers are refunding their customers as well. We sincerely apologize for this circumstance, but we hope you will continue to shop with us. Please accept this coupon code which is good for $10 off of orders $39.99 or more and will provide free 2 day shipping within the united states.
Basically, I get screwed over cause I never got my money back, and all they do is give me some $10 coupon that only can be used if I'm paying for something that is $40 or more.
This game has made me lose all respect for Ubisoft.
for anyone who hasn't already heard the rumor, according to the staff at e.b. games, the ps2 version of aa:ros has been suspended indefinitely... word is that there were too many errors during development for the army's liking, so they pulled out... no details on what errors these were, or if the army's planning on using a different developer to release at some point in the future... for those of u like me and my gamer-man who couldn't stand to be without this game, splurge and pick up a used xbox to snag the title - it's definitely worth it!
true to other gamers' comments, the teammate a.i. in single-player mode is way below what u'd expect from a "realistic" army game, and there's the flaw of missions ending if u get too far away from your fire team (he failed once 'cuz he was resuscitating a downed teammate and his commanding officer moved out of the radar circle), but it's nice to see a game where u have to rely on the gun's sights to aim instead of a little white cross-hair, and the mission doesn't wait for u - if u take too long to complete an objective, people may die, but the mission goes on...
and how 'bout this ridiculous sniper qualification mission?!? to get expert, u literally have to put your life (or at least your xbox and gaming life) on hold for up to 48 hours!! yeah, it's realistic, but in comparison to some of the other not-so-realistic aspects of this game (like running into a "cleared" room and getting shot), it's kind of an unwelcome smack in the face :P
