Sounds like a straight Metal Gear Solid 2 ripoff ; when they 'proved' Solid Snake was dead and buried, but it was actually Liquid Snake's body, albeit minus one arm.

BTW, the youtube link says "private". I couldn't see it Angry Blue Guy

Yes, if you count the books. Only twice in the games though.
Once! Smile As it turned out, Sarah hasn't been kidnapped in the Bonus Mission, but Sam just tested a new drug for the NSA which caused Hallucinations. Wink2

The drug testing was in Bunker. ("You asked me if I've ever danced naked with a salmon, and then went silent for five minutes."
"I must have blacked out."
"I hope so, because you know how I feel about fish.")
In Ship, she was actually kidnapped.

Hey Guys,I just wanted to jump in and give everyone a reminder that you can always trust and rely on game info that comes from one of us at the Ubisoft Montreal studio. If you don’t hear it coming from a dev team member, I would highly question the validity of that info. And this guy is not from the studio.

He's not from the studio? Where is he from then?

Could whoever posted the video to YouTube edit it so that it's public? It's private right now and I want to see the crazy guy spoil the major plot twist.

I don't know why the video has been privatized. The owner may have been asked to do it by an external source.

Whether or not the statement is real, the way it was taken down from public viewing makes me only suspicious.

That doesn't deny any of the contents, very political.

This whole thing raises another issue that I don't recall being discussed (and I haven't played Essentials so I don't know if they cover that there): why is Sam Fisher looking for her killer in Malta to begin with? More specifically, why does he, after 2 years of living in exile, have an epiphany that his daughter's death (or kidnapping) was something other than a drunk driver? Will we see him being tipped off (or do we even hear him narrate it)? Does he uncover it in his attempt at clearing his name? Relying on players to assume something like this smells like bad/lazy writing.

Aspgin, that's what happens when you split ownership of the franchise between two different build teams (now three with Conviction).

Without a clear focus on where they want to take the character, Ubi is forced to make up wild stories to recoop from what has happened.
"Why'd you kill Sarah? Well, we'll bring her back to life"
"Is Lambert dead or not? Nobody knows!"
"What about other characters like Director Williams? Forget him, we'll create another new 3E leader!!"
Is it any wonder nothing is accomplished in Washington, the job turnover rate is massive!

Then why is the video now being blocked from public view? Who is the person if he isnt' from the studio? Sounds pretty curious that the video was blocked by the public and now we are getting a statement about not trusting the guy who obviously has played some or all of the game since he's promoting the game.

lol wow it is locked now amazing job ubi. Companies are just dishonest these days I guess. That guy absolutely was working for ubi.

The story of her being alive isn't what bothers me it's their treatment of the fans. Someone on here found something and pointed it out and now they wanna hush it up, that's sad. The community has been asking for more info for so long on multi and others and this is what we get.

I understand they are a business but maybe they need to hire some new people who know how to work with the public better. Some of the story has been leaked. Now would be a good time imo to speak and interact with the community not further shut it out. Then try to to say the guy doesn't work for them. How else did he get the demo? Why would he have a translator to explain to an at home audience? LOl its just getting a lil sad.

Hey Guys, back again. All I can say is we want you guys to experience the story when you play the game. I won’t comment on story elements here so I'm going to close this thread.
