Splinter Cell is not a sci-fi game

why put cloning in the mix in the first place?

No.Just, no.

As killerbee102007 said, the devs could also create a B-story about Sam having flashbacks of the time when Sarah was alive.

It would have the same emotional effect (maybe even stronger since Sam told Williams that Enrica rembembered him of Sarah and then had to observe her getting shot).

whats the point in bringing sarah back? They could have kept her character alive and used it to build on sams character, but they killed her off, so bringing her back would just be dumb. No matter how they do it, it would just be a really bad move.

Sorry, but I don't think so. Her death could still have a much more deep impact on Sam's character than he realized yet - especially because of what happened to Enrica. Losing 2 important people and (maybe) even one of your best friends / colleagues in such a short periode of time would definitely leave a "mark" because these are very dramatic events.

You might change your life or reconsider your actions in the past. You might have problems sleeping because of nightmares and you might even keep asking yourself "if I wouldn't have done this or that maybe it wouldn't have ended the way it did". Sam could keep asking himself if infiltrating Emile's JBA was the right choice. Hell he could even have doubts if joining Third Echelon was the right choice because if he wouldn't have done that, he could have spend more time with Sarah which maybe could have even prevented the accident etc.

The possibilities are almost endless, if you think about it.

thats true. the whole point is to get into his character better, so i hope they can do it right. what i bet is gonna happen is their idea of developing sams character will be like double agent. just him making his own choices based on what he believes. which i guess it could be good if done right. its not gonna be a book though. its still a videogame.

At the end of Double Agent (Xbox).

I'm not really sure which cutscene it was but I think it's been the first one of the JBA HQ cutscenes when all of the JBA characters are introduced.

I'll have to take another look at all of them in order to give you an exact answer. Since I won't be able to go online at this weekend, I'll answer the 2nd question on monday! Smile

If Enrica reminds him his daughter Sarah, so why after second part of JBA in DA he seduced her?

Ehh.. in the modern world everything is possible.. Wink

I think the whole not being able to sleep at night and the what-if thinking are not very likely in a videogame, especially since Sam was not noticeably upset DA anyway. Of course, that is probably just bad writing. If they get good writers, I suppose those humanizing moments could be added as cutscenes.

It's a joke! When you look at me like that, it's a joke.

just to clear up with the whole Sam, Enrica, Daughter type thing

in the 360 version of DA, Sam and Enrica "got it on" as it were (cos lets face it, as far as virtual babes go she's hot)

in the XBox version, Sam sees Enrica as he saw his daughter (though i'm not sure if he has feelings for her in other ways)

****SPOILERS****

at the end of the XBox version of DA Williams sends another Splinter Cell to carry out a hit

now, it's hard to tell if the Splinter Cell was meant to take out Sam but got Enrica instead, or if the Splinter Cell was really after Enrica.

Sam's conversation with Williams after the mission suggests Williams was after Enrica, but you never know

that's where the whole "she was like a daughter to me!" thing comes from

if you got the 360 version, you miss it

Williams was after Enrica, he saw her as a terrorist because she was a part of the JBA. At the beginning of the mission(xbox NYC), Williams said to take them all out, including Enrica.
