I've always thought of him as a more like Jack Bauer, willing to do what he has to to get the job done, but at the same time cynical about political manoeuvring, and government misuse of the military. If anything I'd say that Fisher is probably more realistic about the bad side of his country than Bauer is, though. I get the impression that things are a little too black and white in the world of Jack Bauer, well maybe up until Season 5, at least.

Well his costume is almost entirely Jack Bauer's at the start of 24 Season 5. Also I noticed that the music from Pandora Tomorrow felt like a new arrangement of the 24 score.
