the pistol should be more accurate in my opinion, i'd like to see ubi add a zoom function. hear me out, you click in the thumb stick like when using sc20k scope, but for the pistol the camera moves to about where sams face is and you use the pistols iron sights. there is no actual zoom though, but it will feel closer because the camera moves in closer.
when just in normal pistol usage mode, the accuracy stays the same as what it is now but when you go to iron sight you get a big accuracy boost. im sure sam fisher knows his way around a pistol, but his marksmanship skills up to this point are just embarrassing. -Phil |

SC has never been a shooter. If you make the pistol too accurate, it becomes a shooter. And that'd be bad. Maybe it's not realistic, because obviously Sam is an expert marksman, but it's for gameplay reasons.

i think its accurate enough you just need to aim at the head of one of the guards with the little dot inside the bigger one and then wait until the reticle stops moving and thats it.

Yeah and I think anyone would have trouble holding a weapon steady while in a split jump(if you're even able to do one at all)...or hanging upside down while shooting.

They should bring back the red dot function from Pandora. I never understood why they took it out.
An upcoming novel by me. Thanks Melonie for the sig! |

No they don't have trouble at all. Law enforcement and Special Forces are trained constantly to shoot upside down while absailing, as they may have to breach buildings or plant explosives on windows. They practice and practice again and again till they get the technique right. May want to watch a clip HERE which shows an operative from the FSB dangling upside down holding his pistol covering the others in the room, thats standing operating procedure for a breach. Heck they even do it semi-realistic in Rainbow Six Vegas1/2. Why would you think doing a Split jump and being in a controlled position would lack accuracy or control? When the Five Seven has little to no recoil due to it being light weight! If we're talking a weapon thats firing a huge round like the Desert Eagle .50 you would have a valid point. But hanging upside down is no problem for these guys at all, Sam Fisher is trained in this Art being that he is an Ex-Navy SEAL trained in counter-terrorism. Also why would making the weapon more accurate turn the game into a shooter? I have a weapon I can shoot someone in the head as it is, accuracy is just going to make the weapon more accurate. If your play style is one of many, where by you don't touch a single person in the game world, what does it matter, if someone goes round shooting every terrorist/bad guy within the game world? None, thats right none at all! I thought you knew me but it seems you never did I tried to find you in the castle where you hid. I took the pictures that you ruined from my wall. No one remembered me I was right after all. |

That's called OCP. Which has to be used in a fast way. I think ------------------------------ Intel C2Q Q9450, OCZ Reaper 8GB DDR2-1066 (4x2GB), Club3D 4870 512MB OC'd @ 760/1060, Asus P5E, Xonar DX, Logitech G5. Pure pwnage @ 2048x1536 resolution. |

Dood making it more accurate does not make it a shooter. Besides even if you are the best aimer in the world you won't always get the shot because sometimes the bullet moves because of wind, gravity, and the airodynamics of the bullet. Splinter IS REALISTIC because you don't always make the shot but in Chaos Theory and Double Agent you had the option of attaching a better grip to the SC-20k to make the gun more accurate. So like I said before, better aim does not make the game a shooter. |

ya i dont see how making the pistol more accurate could be bad at all. id just like to see the pistol preform as good as it should. I never use the pistol except for the ocp because its soo inaccurate and a hit even at 15 feet is not guaranteed, especially after a quick draw.
just because the pistol is there and accurate doesn't mean you have to use it to slaughter every single person in the level. the pistol is much quieter than your sc20k and could (should) be way more useful. it seems like it has been neglected slightly over the past few games, the model isn't all that good compared to the sc20k. -Phil |

The pistol is extremely accurate, and if you've ever noticed from the first game it increases in accuracy, and capabilities. Adding a scope would be pointless... It would make the game too easy, the SC20K does the job well enough, especially with the multiple LTL rounds in is capable of shooting, the shotgun attatchment, and not to mention the 20MM snpier attatchment, which is ridiculous... I think with those, and a pair of night, thermal, and EMF vision goggles, plus a folded steel combat knife, and being backed up by a great staff at the NSA HQ with an OPSAT on your wrist, AND most importantly having skill and strategey at what your doing, you shouldn't even need to use your pistol unless you're OCP'ing a light.
