I am sure that at some point between the beginning of the development of the game and now, someone at Ubisoft has talked about/mentioned/asked about/considered the idea of a beta. If they decide to do it, great. If they decide to not, it's their decision.

You cant tell me that it's a good business move to: avoid the public, barely interact with their community, etc. It's not just with Splinter Cell either. I would just like to see more interaction with the community, instead of being greedy, ignorant, arrogant fools. SC:C will not see success at this rate

Now, now, lagacyzero. Ubisoft are professionals. I'm sure they know what they're doing, or what their intentions are. Don't slam down the game just because they don't do beta testing or interact with gamers less compared to other developers. If, after the game comes out, the game is truely *that* horrible, you have every right to be disappointed. But now, at a stage still in development, let's give Ubisoft and SCC some hope. I'm sure Ubisoft would really appreciate that. Smile

releasing a beta doesn't guarantee success, and vise verse. There were plenty of other games with sequels that didn't release betas, and many of them still became platinum hits. I'm guessing that because SC hasn't been known to release betas, we won't be seeing one for this game.

It seems most people forget that the CT spy vs merc had a beta test. A short list of items were fixed but hardly anything was done. Random disconnects, instant grenades and colision problems still plague the game.

The beta, in terms of a public beta was in my eyes, and many others a failure. Which is probably why Ubisoft has made the decision to not release a beta.

Sure in other games they are successful, but other games are also supported by their makers. It doesn't matter that the game is being made by a different studio within the name. Poor buisness is poor buisness.

that's what I'm saying. After all of this interaction with the developers at Infinity Ward, and Bungie, they have made the gaming experience alot better. Ubisoft has no excuse as to why they are not interacting with the community. IW has their own public relations guy where that pretty much ALL he does! Not to mention I just got a free swag pack mailed to me LOL. If UBI would take the heads out their bums and talk to the community, and interact, they would see a whole helluva lot of cash rolling in. Since when do people not care about the costumer? considering that's how you make money. I'm for a beta test, Or at least some videos and screen shots for the MP, so the public can decide if it's best

I completely agree with you. I think Conviction will be a great game. But Ever since SCDA come out, i've been playing it multiplayer everyday. It was the "sneaking" alternative that I really needed (because Metal Gear Online sucked. Nothing more than a freakin shooter.) Even though DA had it's problems with LAG and the such, I wanted SCC to be the next game I cant wait to get home from work to play. For it to have a multiplayer as good as spy vs merc. Heck, why not put both modes in the MP? So the only reason I'm calling for a beta or demo, is to prove to UBI that public feedback is crucial to a games success. Same problem with the PS3 right now. Nobody is buying it (#1 because of the cost)and the fact that the games on it are horrible. COUGH lair COUGH.

That is public BETA you are talking about which in general are pretty bug free. Real BETA testing are done with few inside people so calling yourself a BETA tester for BETA testing only public BETAs are kinda strong Hammer

However a demo for the new MP, not to mention the SP would be a great way to dampen peoples concerns for SCC! If it will help who knows at least it shows that they are trying to do something about and that it`s not only for the $$$, but will it happen Sad

As nice as it would be, it is unrealistic to think that a public demo will be released this far from the release. I think that if there is a demo at all it is likely to be released in the week before or after Conviction is released.

It's a joke! When you look at me like that, it's a joke.
