Wow.

What in the world are you talking about? Yes it is just about stealth.

And yeah, stealing cars is a really stupid idea. Sure, it's fun in games like Mafia and Grand Theft Auto, but not in Splinter Cell.

Why don't they put stealing cars in every game? Because some games just wouldn't be cool with stealing cars.

Like a second GTA honestly there is enough copies of that to have SC copy GTA.

I find this option of cars quiet interesting . Infact having cars can come in handy, say you need to go from Place A to B or when you need to escape, or when u need to trail someone. So, considering from this aspect, having this optin or like a 'cab' option like in gta 4 will be helpful in the actual missions. Moreover since it is a 'sandbox' game I would also like to see some more free roaming options which can have an affect on the story missions (for eg. customizing hair, outfit, body, moves, eating and resting and stuff like that).

I don't think so. Yeah, the game will do well without the 'body' option but having the other option like customization of hair , clothes etc will make the gameplay much more interesting especially , since the game is based around the 'fugitive' theme.

Oh hai, here's a good thought from White Knight regarding getting more fans.
Thought it sounded kind of interesting. Probably off-topic though.

Brawling, again, I'm sure won't be brawling. The moves are designed to be quick, efficient, and powerful. Grapples and take-downs may be a much different style than driving your palm into someone's face, but I'm sure the end result will have moves that are much more efficient.

As I've said plenty times before, the trailers aren't meant for proving how skilled the demonstrators are at stealth or efficient combat. A lot of the times you see them grappling and throwing the cops, over and over and over, when instead they could have simply taken them down with one quick move, but for the sake of marketing they kept the fight going and showed off what the cops could be tossed into and over.

You're not going to have to waste time throwing a cop into a cabinet three times before he knocks out, when you could take him down in one move. It's marketing. Wink2

By the way, your new sig is not so new. Tongue

You've got to be kidding me Indifferent Heck why not make SC a life-sim like The Sims 2...that would certainly make the gamer feel like he has a lot to do.

Stealth based game.
Car-jacking is not stealthy.
Simple as.

And why would body modification in this game make a big difference? If, and with any luck you are actually wearing suits and goggles, you get a haircut you aren't going to see it.

I just want more of CT really, perhaps revamped version with extra twist perhaps new moves.

I want coop back, I loved that.

Chaos Theory 2 plus customization for multiplayer and coop. New weapons that have silencers and all the attachments they had in CT.

okay, well whatever i still want cars

If that's all you're after... just play GTA.
Splinter Cell is a stealth game, and as ERN456 has pretty much said, making an open world stealth game means the player can go completely off stealth mode whenever he/she wants, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the game...
So i refer make to my original statement: if u feel like stealing cars and hitting red lights and stirring up trouble... just don't play a stealth game... simple!

An explanation regarding your claims will be helpful, my friend.

What hes saying is that SC cannot function with cars if its a stealth game. You can go and skip red lights the police are looking for you or crashing into other cars and running over people. That eliminates the stealth you just dont see a guy in a stealth game doing that you see him trying to avoid attention and crashing cars and doing that others stuff attracts to much attention.

Explanation:

Eating, resting, being able to walk inside a McDonald's and eat a burger, stealing cars, these aren't activities that Splinter Cell has ever focused on or even been remotely associated with.

Just because it's a sandbox environment now doesn't mean you should start throwing in every last weird and random feature such as stealing cars or starting gangs.

Splinter Cell is still solely a stealth game, and so it should refrain from adding any other features that would make stealth foreign to it.

i dont think there will be any sort of driveable vehicles in the game, maybe in cut-scenes but during gameplay i doubt it.

Well, in this case it depends upon the player. If the player doesn't want to be stealthy , he/she can go on breaking the rules and ultimately they have to face the consequences.

What I believe is that adding such features will make the gameplay much more challenging. And yes , if the player doesn't like engaging in such activities , he/she can always disable such things by means of cheat or modifications(if it is possible)or by any other means, and thus can continue with the missions.

Such features will remove the stealth thats if theres any left why cant you understand that even if you could turn it off.
