I was being facetious by using the term "cult" instead of "club". I clearly see the lexical there in your title. I just find it interesting. I think everyone is having a one way argument in this forum. All it boils down to is that everyone has a right to there own constructive opinion. If you like the idea of convictions or not, it's certainly okay to say so. No one will get hurt for doing so you guys. I promise.

See, this is exactly why you guys are getting your signatures taken away etc.
There have been a lot of things ms-kleaneasy and I have disagreed on but I think she is right on the money on this. You claim to want freedom of speech, but want to do slap people who disagree with you. Ubisoft, as long as I have been associated with it, has never kept anyone from speaking their mind, but is simply trying to keep the peace and order and prevent people from dividing the community. How do you think slapping someone who disagrees with your opinion is going to assist in making Ubisoft change the game? Other than it showing that you are only on this forum to be openly hostile to innocent people simply for disagreeing with your opinion, it won't prove anything. That's why you need to be careful as to who you associate yourself with and why groups are bad. Letting other people speak for you can be tricky because some tend to say stupid things.
Attacking people who are not upset by the game change is not going to change anything as they are not developers. These people are along for the ride just as you are. There is nothing they can do to change things so I don't understand all the hostility or the need to seperate "pro-ConVictioners" from "Anti-ConVictioners". If you _really_ didn't get the humour in that post then I don't know how you could have possibly survived on this, or any other, forum this long.
From what i've seen lately its more like, they DO stop people speaking their mind using the "keeping the peace" as an excuse. So many threads have been locked for no reason other than "keeping the peace" when it's just a simple debate, maybe there should be some kind of lessons so you can distinguish them from aggressive posts?
But then, you only apply this rule one way. Why haven't the "To all the whiners.", "To all the people against convictions" and "please stop the rants" threads been deleted, whereas if I posted a "This game will not be good!" thread, it would be removed before it hit 5 views? Sorry if i'm coming off as "aggressive" but some of the moderation of these boards is ridiculous, for the most part its completely biased, and while I can't say names because it doesn't say "Post deleted by XXXX" etc, I can say that it's stupid how what the mod team do is the equivalent of a mod deleting someone's post on a small community forum because they don't like the same band as them. It's only aggressive in your eyes when its the anti-convictioneers saying it, i've only seen one or two people warned for the opposite. </rant> Ok, i've vented. And I know I could be considered a pro-ConVictionist  ORsaleen, you need to remember UbiRazz can't be biased when he's talking about the game. The thing to remember guys is that you're on a private forum here so you have to abide by the rules we set. This forum is for people to discuss Splinter Cell Conviction and we want this forum to have a positive atmosphere. Constant creation of negative threads for no other reason than to be negative, despite there being numerous threads for that sort of thing, doesn't create a positive atmosphere so they have been removed. Trying to create a negative undercurrent through the use of "anti-conviction" clubs and signatures that toe the line doesn't create a positive atmosphere so I've been removing them - just like the current ones you have, so please stop doing it.
We're generally very lenient to people who dislike our games and give you the chance to maturely give feedback and post their negative comments on our forums, a lot of other companies don’t allow this, but when it comes to the detriment to the community and forum we need to take action. |
