Well I don't care about any of those. Go figure In short from the other thread. 1. Make projections more interesting or togglable. 2. No fly-by loading screens and no teleporting Sam. Keep the focus on Sam, in old gen DA I didn't see anything that Sam didn't. That was immersive. 3. Realism and consistency. Right now Sam doesn't look like Sam. He's too good, too bad, has forgotten or learned way too many tricks. Most are unrealistic for the sake of faster gameplay. 4. Controls. Make them logical enough not to have popups of what I can do on screen. You say HUD is boring but what is this then? Especially on mini-sandbox levels context sensitivy and popups kill all creativity. No Perfect Dark Zero. "Amazing shooter and stealth", both of which failed hard. Just the inability to carry bodies killed the stealth. Warning: Everything above is an opinion The show must go on What is this Splinter Cell you talk about? |

- Whistling.
I don't want to have to use my gun just to distract an enemy. I want a simple and subtle distraction that is always at my fingertips, and doesn't go to extremely absurd measures that involve shooting things just to get someone's attention. This is a request to not throw out a fan favorite as well as a Splinter Cell icon, and a relatively simple request at that. - Dragging bodies. Again, this is a request to not throw out the very foundations of Splinter Cell. Dragging bodies does not have to be slow! Originally, things like shimmying and climbing pipes were slow, but I don't see you guys throwing that out. Speed it up if you want, but don't throw it out. - Kick doors open, not into a billion pieces. I'm honestly shocked and disturbed that I should even have to request this. How this horrible, horrible animation found its way into a Splinter Cell game, I have no freaking clue, but I do know one thing: do not want! - Interacting with key objects. There's a common ground between all spies, elites, and secret agents (and this is especially true of the ones of rogue status), and it's that they're masters of their surroundings, making the most of any available opportunities that would give them an extra edge. I'd like to see this in ConViction. Being able to tip over cabinets to barricade doors and push desks under vents to access them is only a step forward, and removing this feature from ConViction is rather a step backward. It's an improvisational tool that rewards players for thinking outside the box and making use of their surroundings; it's useful, creative, and sounds really dang fun. Why not put it in? ---------- That's four, but there are definitely more to come. |

I LoLed when I thought of Sam pushing some creates on top of each other so he can reach the ladder leading to the switch to open the door across the room. Very Zelda like. |

Just so you know: there won't be any major changes or additions to what you saw at E3 but there may be minor tweaks/balancing. With this in mind, this thread is largely defunct.

Those would be the top on my wishlist. I just rely so heavily on luring, I'm not exactly sure how to play without it... The body-moving thing doesn't concern me as much (because I don't want to touch anyone, anyway), but it's definitely nice to have if a KO/kill is unavoidable, and for replay value. ------- "Tonight's forecast...dark." |

I feel the same.
It's just what I wanted to know. Most of the ppl want Conviction to be a completely new game but I think the delay is essential in order to POLISH the game, not to remake it to fit everyone's need. But I WILL WAIT for it because every Splinter Cell game is a masterpiece and Conviction is gonna be ideal. |

Hi, I've been reading this forums since the release of DA, but I haven't really felt like expressing my feelings - before now.
As many others here the ultimate SC-game for me was Chaos Theory, but unlike many others I had a great time with Double Agent. Those daylight-missions was for me a new challenge, a fresh idea which got really challenging after a while(Ah, Kinshasa...). One of the reasons DA worked for me is an element which have been with the series from the start, which, from judging the E3-demo, isn't in the new game, is how Sam Fisher crouches. The running in the previous games was a bit retarded, but why change the crouching-animation? Sam could already run pretty fast while crouching, so why change it? That animation is for me probably some of the most recognizable elements of the series, more than the NVG, because when I was without them in DA, I still felt like Sam Fisher. It's almost like removing the James Bond-theme and the "Shaken, not Stirred" part of the JB movies(Quantum of Solace, anyone?). If there's one thing I want changed, it's that animation. Even if the game isn't like the old days, I would still feel like Sam. |

This is an act of futility...
1) it's too late for them to make changes in animation. that means no knife, no dragging bodies, no crouch walk. 2) ubi never listens to fans, anyone who has been here for the last 3 games knows this by now. 3) the delay's only purpose is to make ubi's next fiscal report higher. they're just interested in making their company look like it's making money. the end. your wishes are in vain my friends. |

I've been here since the Red Storm days, so your comment bout Ubi not listening to fans is utter tripe. I should know, they sure as hell have listened to me a few times over the years!

it's too late for them to make changes in animation Are you serious ? They have about 6 - 8 months to work on the game and your saying its too late for them to tweak the animations Also how do you know the knife will not be in the game ? Do you work for Ubisoft ? |

So, apparantly you guys have your hands more than full already on work concerning the baseline content..... So, that kinda means ... a lot of work was not going to be finished in time, in the first place. Either way ; I don't think tweaks such as limiting gun ammo will be a major problem, right ? "You're MINE !" |

Limiting gun ammo they can do easily. The people who think adding animations such as a stab animation for the knife, the pick up body animation, etc, cannot be done. Those that think otherwise have no idea how much goes into programming animation and getting it to work properly. Like stated earlier, the game is basically done. The only reason for the delay is so Ubi can say "look, we made X ammount of money this season in 2010, we're still in business". They did the same thing with SCCT. The demo of the first level was out 6 months before the actual game came out and it was practically identical. Assassins Creed 2 will be out this fall, so they will make their seasonal fiscal earnings from that. They only pushed SCC to winter so they can get the earnings from it on their next seasonal fiscal earnings. Asking for anything to be included in the game now is falling on deaf ears, guaranteed. |

True, but they had a complete physics & interaction system in the 2007 build. They just 'threw' it out of the window. "You're MINE !" |

Now I have 6-8 more months of hoping and praying that MP will be good.
I'm gonna be honest here: I don't play a lot of games for the single player. I enjoy the MP aspect of games more. With that being said, I would like to say that I enjoy CT's MP more than any other MP I've ever played. EVER. A lot of people feel the same way. We tried desperately to get CT picked up by MLG. It was very close. What we'd all like to see now is a more polished, updated and upgraded version of that game. The game that we spent all of our free time on. CT is still great. You guys had some great ideas with DA, but I feel they were poorly (marked and) executed. Adding to the spies agility and athleticism was fantastic. Taking away all their gadgets and the ability to carry 4 at a time was not fantastic. It was terrible. Making the Merc teams Upsilon instead of Argus was a nice touch. Argus wasn't getting the job done, so they company brought in Upsilon. They're stronger, faster, deadlier. That's a GREAT idea. Steps in the right direction. But then again, all the previous things that were awesome about the CT merc were taken. Gas Mask, spy traps, mines, back pack...all those things were great. I know this is probably not the right place to go off on a diatribe about back then's and what if's, but surely you guys expected a huge response if not out cry when the decision was made. Show us we matter. Show us that we should want to buy your game and participate in these forums. Please step up to the plate and give us what we want. Consult our ideas, which we freely give. We don't want to mess with your story, we don't want to mess with any of the production, we just want you to know how we feel about what we've seen. Thanks Ubi. Seriously. You guys have done a pretty good job so far. Don't let us down. |

There was several stab animations in CT. I think you underestimate what Montreal can do. Picking up bodies was in every single SC game so I wouldn't say it ' cannot ' be done. It's their choice not to include it. An animation for picking up weapons would be an easy fix for a person experienced in game animation. They don't get payed for nothing. Look at all the animations so far. I don't know where you based everything on. |

Please make the PC version use Games for Windows Live.

Whistling is a minor tweak, and dragging bodies is balancing. |
