Ok, I make this topic to post all the changes we want to see on Splinter Cell Conviction since the game got delayed until Q1 2010. Plus with this, we wont saturate the forums with a lot of topics with the same theme.
Ok let me start. -Bring Sam Googles -Carry dead/unconscious bodies -Bring some classic splinter cell missions. -Bring some classic Splinter Cell costumes. -What about involving some previous splinter cell characters in this plot like Sadono or Otomo? -Bring the Knife -Bring the Sound Meter -Bring a Shadow meter. Multiplayer Spy vs Merc Costume characters for both spies and mercenaries for example, have an option to change the spy outfit color, different weapons for the mercs (like in CT) Bring multiplayer maps that allow having a equally good game, for example, no spawn kills like in DA. No glitchings. |

Well, Alec, I would like to see a return to pure L&S like the last-gen games(all 4) had.

Ok, here's my list :
- a strict ammo limitation : to encourage using Fisher's skills to KO, stab or necksnap enemies, upclose & personal action. Less shooting. - a knife for : see above - outfit customization & possibly, disguises. C'mon, some cool costumes which feel less resemblance to Jason Bourne, Jack Bauer # 1001 - IF you're going to include NVG's at all ; from the black market, old models with less than perfect night vision ; blurry depth of field, black & white. Just the knife I think. I have faith in Ubi Montreal otherwise...
Oh oh oh...what would be sweet is if you could put on or take off a balaclava a la Vantage Point. Make environments approachable from many different angles for max re-playability. Co-op. Co-op. Co-op. It worked in CT, you can make it work in Conviction! |

The old games could be played with action or stealth.

WHAT???????????????? What game except for D.A. could be played even remotely actiony? Sure as hell not any Splinter Cell game. Especially not that stupid CT abomination. |

EDIT: either I misread it, or you accidently typed stealthily then fixed it.

Actually, I did shoot my way through the CT bank mission just to see how it would be, and did fine. I even managed to get the enemy to shoot in a different direction,which was where he saw me last, and put a bullet in his head. Actually I didnt lose any health either... Sig removed - too long. But it was true! |

your right bout the typo. Anyway i was never able to play actiony especially CT cuz in CT someone heard me picking a lock and the aimbots mowed me down in seconds. Even after i killed most of them by like you said, bullrushing. |

Some personal changes/fixes I would like to see
- Ability to drag or carry bodies out of enemy line of sight. This will not only appeal to the hardcore audience but also enhance methodical gameplay scenarios where stealth is needed. - An animation for manually picking up weapons not that automatic pickup nonsense where the guns are Teleported to Sam's back. - Reintroduction of Sam's combat knife or something alternatively as sharp and deadly - Reworking on the camera postion around Sam. At the moment it seems very far away from him whilst in gameplay. - Crouching should be fixed slightly. His movements while crouched seem rather rigid and mechanical. The closer than ever system used in CT and DA was satisfyingly realistic. Since crouching was always a big part of the series I would hope a lot more work is put into this. - A lot concerns were raised about whether Sam had unlimited ammo or not. I think this was just because the game was was played in God Mode. I would certainly hope that unlimited ammo is not the case and if it is , needs to be fixed. - Multiple Objectives with Primary and Secondary ones just like in Previous games of the series. - Co-op Mode. Almost a necessity in the case of a SC game. I would really hope they deliver such a mode. - An Online ranking system where stats are tracked and monitored and players are given a specific rank on how much they accomplished in MP. I'm basically asking for similar system like what CoD4 has. - Customizable characters and weapons like in Rainbow six: Vegas. Pretty much all I can think of right now. Its pretty late |

honestly, i don't wanna see anything new. i just want them to polish and make the current build the best they can make it.

Anyway, here's my list: -Ability to drag bodies. If possible, choice between dragging bodies noisily or carrying bodies quietly. -Animation to pick up guns, clips, grenades, everything that can be picked up. -Bring back the CT/DA style crouch where Sam changes into a a more careful stance when approaching an enemy. It's a simple animation tweening guys, it can't be that hard. -Reduce Sam's climbing/shimmying speed. Should be obvious from the start. -Ability to turn off projections. It's cool for first time, but distracting when you play it again. -Ability to turn off LKP. Or at least, make it 50% more transparent and make it fade out more quickly. -Please use a life meter or at least a "half-regen" system as COastalgirl once suggested. -Please do not split the doors in half whenever Sam kicks them. Its reasonable for the doorknob to break, but the whole door? Who is he, the Hulk? -Allow non-gun distractions. Even Jack Bauer throws cans or a block of wood to distract an enemy. How can I stealth a level if the only options i have to move a guard is either alert them by shooting or use LKP (actually let them see me)? -I'm not sure about this: the interrogation sequence may look cool but could be repetitive. All you seem to do is move Sam around to trigger animations. I'm thinking of just wriggling the analog stick while eating my sandwich until I hear my victim talk. -While Sam's outfit is ok, please have variations per mission. Let's say 70% of the game Sam wears his current outfit (I understand Marketing needs a trademark look), but Sam could wear something different on the rest: leather jacket, simple t-shirt, his '07 hoodie, anything. And iamSAM_85's baraclava is also good suggestion. |
