I know taking out Fisher would be insane, but he is in his 50's. Maybe that's why hes not doing anymore split jumps or hanging on pipes in SCC. It would be cool if you could do some missions wih Sam and do physically demanding missions with another agent.
Like I've always told my friends, Sam is getting Old, and as much as His character is one of the best in video games, I don't want prequels, so they need to start moving towards shadownet.
Turning Sam into an instructor, or trainer would not work with his personality, so they would basically have to transition him out, and bring in the new shadownet guys.
Introduce more co-op play.

I approve of JediWithASniper's post, especially his request for no prequels. Please keep moving the story forward. Do not give me SAM FISCHER: THE UNTOLD MISSIONS.
MKCC14 is probably right. Ubisoft will never let Sam age beyond his current point. He is the Splinter Cell brand. He is the icon. His image and Ironside's voice sell the game...but...the coop mode should get just as much attention as Sam's solo missions. We need to get to know those two new Splinter Cells we played in Chaos Theory's coop mode. Coop FTW!
Yeah, he can't do split jumps anymore because he's getting too old. Has anyone noticed that the distance he can drop is also getting less and less each title? In the original, he could drop pretty far without taking damage, and even farther without dying. By the time we come around to Double Agent, I dropped off the trailer in the first mission, which technically was still a Chaos Theory mission, and he took damage. That's like one body length, and half the distance he could drop in the original.
If anyone has watched some of the early previews of the original, you'll obviously notice that they were using a much younger voice, sounded way less experienced and kind of more like an Abercrombie model than a soldier. Anyone imagine this franchise without Michael Ironside's voice?
Did anyone imagine that this franchise, in an alternate reality, could have been with a voice other than Ironside's?
And in this reality, what if Fisher dies, or retires? We all know he jokes in every single title about retiring, from the first to the fourth. Maybe by the end of ConViction, he won't be joking anymore.
You do know that he's going to be 54 in ConViction, don't you? Yes, he does get older because he's not like the Hardy Boys who are always 17 even after 56 books.
Ubisoft announced his age is staying at 42 years old. Hes not going to get older or younger. You can say they did this to continue the series without worrying about his old age.
Well then I'm just going to pretend it was a fake.
They couldn't do that after the series has started. Five games in, with all the jokes that Anna Grim has made about Sam's age, they can't come in and say that he's younger now than he was when he started.
If I find that information and it's true, so help me, I'll jump off a bridge. A very small bridge.
Believe whatever you want; I consider it true at this point because they haven't said otherwise. That said, if they took it back it wouldn't surprise me.
Anyway, something about that poster says lame April Fool's Day joke... in some other month than April.
Not saying I don't believe you, it just doesn't seem like Ubisoft would do something as stupid as changing the age of someone five titles through a franchise, and then try to convince people that it was that way all along.
well ubisoft did do SCDA and that was not very smart either.
----------------------- Guy #1: Whats that? I heard something. Guy #2: You are always hearing things. Guy #1: This time im pretty sure. Sam: I guess this time he was right.
