Yep, I use Fraps. Thumbs Up
When I edit video I do it through Premiere Pro and all my video stays uncompressed. When my movie's are finished I usually store it uncompressed but if size is a concern you'd be best to use Mpeg2 or DV AVI. There's also a handy encoder called Xvid, it makes good quality AVI that don't take up to much room. Cinepak Codec by Radius isn't to bad either.
Hope this helps. Wink

Links to any downloads for a mpeg/avi to xvid converter?

Been looking but can't seem to locate one for free

Try this: http://www.moviecodec.com/downloads/295d.html

Just click the "Download Rad Video Tools," link. Its a great little program that should do everything you want. Whether that be play/create Bink movies, or convert Mpeg2 or AVI with Xvid. Thumbs Up

I don't upload to youtube because they don't let you have videos longer than 10 mins and most of my walkthroughs are longer than that

I thought they don't limit the time. See lots of videos with 30 mins. Well then I have to look for another website. Frown

Certain accounts with YouTube do get their time limit removed, but your basic account has a cap of 10 mins afaik

I don't mind your website where you upload the videos, but I cannot reach it very good. Takes alot of time to load. Smile

Try Viddler. I've used them for longer (30+ min) videos.

ETA: Just checked again and their limit is 500 MB (no length limit, though). Smile

Thank you very much. Smile

EDIT: I forgot to ask about a software that takes two video files and combine it in one file (Fraps --> 3.9GB and it begins to make a new file up to 3.9GB). Or am I able to add the second file per video editor (cutting adding stuff)?

Windows Movie Maker, its not the greatest program but it works, and it comes with windows. You can do simple editing, cutting/adding video and it can save your movie in DV AVI.

It's hard to find good editing software without spending a large sum of money, but sometimes you can get cut down versions free with hardware components. I got Ulead Video Studio (full version) with a fire wire card. And I got Cyberlink Power Director (cut down version) free with a graphics card.

I hope this information helps. Smile
