Neither will be correct. They would have put Conviction on their online shelves for people to read about and check the price the moment they had a release date, which was originally November 16 or something. When it got delayed to the point where they no longer have a firm release date, what do they do? Take it off the site? No way, they make one up. Walmart's is obviously based off the statement that it has been delayed until the 08-09 fiscal year (which begins on the 1st of April) whereas Gamestop probably just basing it off some wild rumour they heard, if not started. Until we have confirmation from Ubi themselves or a completely reliable source, I think these kind of threads should be stopped.

ya i went to the same g-stop twice and asked. Once they said june, and once they said october 08. Not very reliable.

Trust me, we will find out the release date earlier than gamestop.

Play.com has the release date at 19/09/2008.

Obviously no-one knows.

oh yeah, i forgot all about convictions. which says something because i have pre-ordered ever splinter cell game since the first one came out. i dont care when this game comes out. cause i am still waiting for the sequal to chaos theory

You and I both. I did kinda like DA but another SC game along the lines of CT would have been better. Anything is better then Grand Theft Splinter Cell Conviction.

the sequal to chaos theory is the chronicles of riddick remake... if you think about it really hard and hit yourself in the head a few times then vin diesel will turn into sam fisher.... or lambert

The date from GameStop is probably not correct. I work at GameStop, and the computer does not show the date listed in our reserve system.
