I have an idea. Why doesn't Ubisoft just release to retail a Splinter Cell game that only includes multiplayer (lower priced from $60 of course unlike the infamous Shadowrun) and is the true successor to Chaos Theory's multiplayer?

They would then be able to focus on the majority of Splinter Cell vets and develop the game that all us die hard fans of CT multiplayer want. Downloadable content would also be released for it. Ubisoft would also develop an even more balanced multiplayer because they're not focusing on a single player aspect for this title.

Then Ubisoft can focus on their own style of Splinter Cell that they want to do. Unfortuantly by doing all of this, that might eliminate most of the market for future Splinter Cell games because most people would probably play the multiplayer game and might not like or want to play with the new changes that Ubisoft is making in their future Splinter Cell titles. I could see sales falling from that sort of thing.

What do you guys think? I personally think that while it's a great idea, it shouldn't happen that way especially if Ubisoft is committed to changing the Splinter Cell formula to a large extent because of possible mediocre sales.

Actually, I like this idea, I wish they would do something exactly along those lines.

Imagine this, for everyone who loves sp mode, the game is twice as long, twice the story, twice the gameplay, twice the challenge, better co-op modes, up to four agents at a time. Unlockable bonus missions based off of the players ability.

Then for those who love mp mode, you have better graphics, faster load times, more choices, better maps, bigger maps, ten times the possibilities.

Heck, I wouldn't mind if they made them available for purchase together, but just have two discs in the case and sell it for 100$.

I think if they did that, and sold them together, then it would deal with the issues you raised, and it would solve so many problems.

One of those major problems is that the sp mode has gradually grown shorter every other game. I'm sick of the go between games!

If you like the SvM gameplay, I suggest you read the first sticky in the PC legacy forum. Google a certain mod mentioned there and you might find what you are looking for.

It's a joke! When you look at me like that, it's a joke.
