Possible Scenario -- Conviction is going to be like New Coke (or Crystal Pepsi) with its huge departure from the original theory. After all the disapproval, the game that follows it will be Splinter Cell: Classic, so to speak, and be wildly popular.

I think that fills the necessary conspiracy theory quota for this thread. whisper

Hey now, don't be lumpin' Crystal Pepsi in with the rest! It may have looked different, but it tasted the same.

Besides, it wasn't replacing regular Pepsi. So there. Tongue

Tell the devs to focus on the game they're making, I know a load of guys on Facebook Splinter Cell fan pages want this game to be all about Sam having the Bourne like improv with whatevers to hand and the fighting style being wide and varied.

The only reason they dont post here is because apparently theres too many people ready to jump on you whenever you put forward an opinion

So you're telling me that there are people who want to change Splinter Cell into action game, but not with enough conviction (ha - I crack myself up) to actually come out and say it.

That's just super duper. Thumbs Up

I think this is the best possible scenario to hope for for people who want to go back to L&S. Espically since it's already been said it's a possibility. Add to the mix that we have Razz here now who has direct access to Ferland I think that's the best bet. I would just caution everyone to please be respectful when communicating. I've known Razz since I became a mod and he's a very nice guy. He's in a position to take our concerns directly to the devs so let's at least treat him the way we want to be treated.

Only when Ubi treats its customers right. Which they do not. I'm sure Razz is a great guy, but Ubi has to re-earn my respect after SCDA. And the current handling of SCC is definately not helping with that.

Hint: what about an update to SCCT which removes Starforce and/or enables dynamic lights on newer graphics cards? Vista support?

The anti-convictioneers should all group together and send "mr" Ferland (:P) an angry letter, see if he cries. Big Grin

Regardless of your personal feelings towards the actual company you can and should still communicate to the people within it respectfully, I think you’ll find the point being made was that showing respect in those dealings would increase your ability to have your voice heard in a positive way and frankly I’m disappointed that on hearing the suggestion to treat staff with respect your reaction is to justify why you dislike the company and thus your respect not earned.
Ubirazz is not the company, he and all who work for Ubisoft deserve the same respect of anyone else you would meet in your day to day life.

@kleaneasy, you totally missed my point.
I'm respectful to Razz, but with a bittered undertone. Wink

Guys, hold your words (for now). For all we could know, SC:C will feature both social and L&S stealth.

Possible, but not probable.

As has been said, if they're keeping light and shadow, they're definitely going to tell us about it instead of jumping out after a year with "surprise, no need to be bent out of shape anymore, we listened!" No one likes that kind of surprise.

And even if they have kept light and shadow, social stealth without a doubt will still be the dominant form of stealth.
