If you guys really wanted to make a good game ,since not all of us read the books ,why don't you make some titles based upon that.. i think that would be a better route , to give us some more light and shadows .. instead of cutting it short ?

"More light and shadows"???
Hmm, is that even possible?

Hahaha, and UbiRazz can help this how???

I don't really know if this is allowed, but an e-mail address of UbiSoft:
support@ubi.com

Tell them to redirect your mail straight to someone in charge...

BTW, there's a 99,99% you will be ignored by them.

Guys, this game is already two years into development. It is what it is.

If you guys want to influence Ubisoft to see that you like L&S better based on the fact that it's still implemented in the books, maybe try buying the books. You say that Ubi is a money hungry group...then speak to them in their language. All the flaming of Ubi forum admins isn't going to help you.

Because I sit here in the Montreal development studio and I convey feedback from these forums to the people who make the game?

Razz, I think what Always_dead meant is it wasn't your choice to make SC go in this direction and you don't really have a say in changing it back, which means the post directed at you accuses you of things out of your control.

"I think the company has blocked the Dev's access to the forums.
"'So, Suits, what's the feedback on SCC been like?'

That's also what our beloved Rhoulette did. The question is: is your feedback actually heard and are they changing their plans according to the feedback? If they dont plan to listen, why bother giving feedback at all. Saves another year-income of an employee.

Unfortunately Rhoulette works in our San Francisco office so doesn't sit in the same country as the developers. I work here in Montreal in the development studio with the developers of our games so I can convey your feedback to them directly which they do, believe it or not, listen to.

No, actually it's not. It was just one of the things our beloved Rhoulette did. She was involved in a lot more stuff than just Splinter Cell - she was a Community Manager NOT a game specific Community Developer. Razz's job however is heavily focused on the Splinter Cell franchise and it's not just his job to convey feedback.

Listen as in "hearing" or as in "focussed hearing while contemplating and understanding the meaning of the things heard and actively thinking about further actions which are directly related to the things heard"

I can hear a lot of things my teachers tell me, doesn't mean I actively do something with that data.

I mean, the post with "We know you want A, but we chose B for our own enjoyment" was kinda a slap in the face for the "feedback". Which is why many of us are so sceptical. I hope the new info will remove the large doubts of "do we need to take a developer's word for granted after they mistreated us by ignoring a large part of the customers?". Only the future will tell.

Don't you think they know that already after their success with the original Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory? Big Grin

A lot of consumer feedback research is undertaken when making any of our games, not only on these forums but on external forums, focus group, surveys, industry feedback, press feedback, and so on. We take feedback from so many different sources and try to bring things together so we understand the key things (pillars) that people believe are part of things like the Splinter Cell series, then work out what would work with those pillars to make a fantastic game.
