I used to feel this butterfly feeling when ever I heard something new about Splinter Cell now I've lost all of my anticipation. And now I only have that feeling for GTA IV.

I think ill wait a lot more before I quit but I wonder how will SC beat GTA4?

Ive asked an ubi dev about whats going on with it but he couldnt tell me he said he has pretty harsh parameters not to say anything even the radio operator who apparently works for Ubi too couldnt say he was working on SC on the radio on Saturday no i dont live in Canada I just got this from a msg that that dev sent me.

People often forget regardless what walk of life something is only competition if its in the same realm i.e. a car can compete with another car but that same car wont compete with a motorbike. The same applies with SC and GTA, two completely different genres and no way you could compare them. Some will love SC and hate GTA, others love GTA and hate SC while some will love both but the two games can never be in direct competition they are so totally different.

In regard to the anticipation or lack of, its the same with anything when you initially get very excited and then reality hits and you realise you wont have what your excited about for x amount of time theres a feeling of let down from the over excitment. That feelings unlikely to change until you've a firm release date and plenty of info coming out on the game so until that happens its really not worth stressing about, try to relax enjoy the games you're playing and know that when the time comes that info will come out and you will enjoy it when it does. The alternative is to continue stressing about something we've no control over and thats no benefit to anyone.... in fact here's one my mum used to quote to me all the time lol ........

Well this is a good thing, mybe itll keep some of the people off the this board til we actually have solid info instead of speculation speculation, moan, gripe and so on.

I actually meant as in score how could SC actually beat GTA in its score given by reviewers? not gameplay because thats a whole different thing and yeah im buying GTA4 too but its not my favorite SC is that doesnt mean ill stop posting either.

Guys, ubidays isnt far away. You've waited this long, it wouldn't change anything if you wait a couple more days. Quitting now is pointless.

Besides, I hate the conviction crowd idea, but it has been so long since last info was released that anything is possible.

Just hold your breath until the end of the May (or whatever day it is)

Hah, that's the trouble with forums, too much drama over insignificant things. Once there's a good plot and fun gameplay, I'll be happy, and I'd hazard a guess that the silent majority of SC fans feel the same.

I think people mostly are just worried that it's going to be plagued by glitches or beaten down with a dull, strange story.

Once they see the smooth game play and a fun story, hopefully they'll warm up to it.

not even, im sorry but SC has turned into a brawling action shooting game. which is just like grand theft auto. the only thing missing from SC:C is car jacking. other than that its the same damn genre
