Oh uh...that was of course intentionally. I just wanted to show you how you'd never try to escape from a situation like this one. Shady

Ok, let me repeat it (again).

Sam won't just be able to pick up anything and use it as weapon but also as a tool or simply for what it has been made! Smile

Take for example a chair. Sam could use it to barricade a door (normal button), break a window to create an exit / knock someone out (aggressive button) or barricade a door to avoid any negative surprises (stealth button).

As I already pointed out (numerous times), it's basically like a much more evolved version of the closer-than-ever system which was introduced in Chaos Theory combined with an open map design! Smile

So instead of throwing the printer, he can print a document instead? And hand it to the enemy? And they'll start to read it, giving you time to make your escape? Wink

Uh...I don't think so! Big Grin

Guard: "Freeze!"
Fisher: "Easy man, I was just checking my ebay account to see if I'm the higgest bidder on this boat!"

*Fisher starts the Printer*

Guard: "Really? Hmm...I know something about boats, lemme see!"

*puts his gun back into the holster and starts to read the description*
*Fisher sneaks past him and out of the office*

Guard: "Man, you're so dumb - your bet is way tooo.... Heyyyy, where are you?"

Ok serious.

Theoretically he could throw the printer, use the paper inside the printer to throw it in the face of a guard in order to confuse him long enough to get away or simply behind cover or he could simply turn it on to create a distraction! Smile

Or he could rest it on the floor with the stealth button, kick it with the aggressive button to take out the enemies legs. Giving him enough time to pull out 2 MP5's and slo-mo dive behind a desk while shooting aimlessly.

Maybe even that, yes! Smile No idea with what kind of action they'll come up with for the printer - except throwing it but there will be other interactions! Smile

I like the non-serious answer better. Big Grin
I want to see a return of some funny stuff...

Well, the shooting aimlessly part I could do...

I'm thinkin' they didn't realize that Sam's dark humor was so well loved.

That, or they thought being cliché was more important. Roll Eyes

Definately want the humour back. Thumbs Up That was a huge beef I had with DA, not enough dark and hilarious humour! Angry Blue Guy Maybe with the return of Grim, we'll get some of Sam's humour back. She always seemed to bring some of the funny out in Sam.

Well, would you think Sam would want to be funny after his daughter died? Something like that happening will change a person.

Sam was at the peak of his career in SCCT, he made fun of so much famous faces.

I know you've pointed it out before, but I don't agree. The closer-than-ever system was hardly a real system. It was exactly the same as what previously existed, only with the addition of the knife, one hit KO's from all angles and the neck-breaking etc. But whatever, it remains that whether he is picking up a chair to use it as a weapon or picking it up because he didn't like the feng shue of the room, it isn't that revolutionary a leap. The only thing about it that could be considered revolutionary is the animations behind it.

My point still stands about the combat system. You can compare it to CT if you like, but as I already said CT's "combat" was pressing one button and the enemy is knocked out or dead. The additions to the series, with the exception that it changed whether an enemy was dead or just unconscious, were purely cosmetic. I am yet to see a game that puts as much emphasis on action and combat as Conviction does, have a strong stealth aspect. And even if the stealth turns out good, it won't have reached its potential because they put some of the time into the action bits.

It's a joke! When you look at me like that, it's a joke.

Rayman version:

Sam can pick up chairs, Sam can throw chairs, Sam can use chairs as a tool... But he can't SIT on chairs.

Hence my "cliché" comment.

They should't have killed her. It wouldn't have mattered to me if he did the DA stuff while she was still alive...

DA story was the best so far and I wouldn't have changed anything.

Sam's humor was good, but now Sam is much deeper charachter. Just don't make Sam any comedian now.

Well, if he can pick it up, and open the cover aggressively, the ink cartridges can shoot out, just like an air foil ring, and nock people out.
