So where does your 2 cents go Dead? or Alive?

he is probably hiding because NSA might be after him for helping Sam in DA. Sig made by Tidenburg |

He's alive. He doesn't die even when you shoot him in the Xbox 360 DA. Besides I think Sam would shoot Jaime Washington over Lambert. It wouldn't be much of a choice really.

Splinter Cell: Essentials confirms that he's dead.

Lambert is alive, unless they kill him off during the story line, but as it stands now, he was still alive at the end of DA no matter how you play it..

Then again SCE could be considered as platform specific standalone game or maybe Sam lied in order to protect Lambert (keep in mind, he didn't know if he can really trust his people)! Personally I hope Lambert survived, since I always liked him and could think of multiple ideas which would shed a bit of light on Lambert's & Sam's past, as well as their friendship which would add a lot more depth to both characters. Especially after the events in Double Agent, it would be interesting to see how their characters have evolved. If Lambert survived, their friendship must have become more intense, because Sam saved his life ("Hold on, help is on the way!"). I think it is very important to remember that while it does say that Lambert is dead in SC:E, SC:E is also a story that Sam is telling while he is in NSA custody. Considering that the NSA is run by Williams, who is out to get Sam and Lambert, there is a very likely chance Sam is being less than honest with them. As long as they think Lambert is dead, they make no attempt to find him, allowing him to move more freely. -- Jackie Fiest Proud Ironside n00b Often imitated! Never duplicated. ♀ |

It is possible Sam and Lambert went both into hiding together. Lambert could be communicating with Sam underground.

In the Montreal DA he can die... (so of course, everyone would choose that option

Thanks I haven't played Essentials, just what I've heard regarding the plot. Hopefully you all are right about Lambert not really being dead, but it being some kind of cover up or conspiracy between Sam & Irving. And your theories are definitely plausible. That would be a sweet surprise if he makes an appearance in Conviction. -------------------------------- "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And poof. Will Conviction be a continuation of the Current-Gen SCDA, or the Nex-Gen SCDA? Probably both because they end the kind of the same (right?).
I think Lambert will probably be dead because there was an option to shoot him, unless he actually survived. Maybe Conviction should start with selecting where you left off in DA (select if you killed Lambert or not)? And everyone's voting for him to be alive just because they WANT him to be alive because he's a good character. |

This splinter cell stuff A.K.A conspiracies in games is very hard to notice so we wont know what happened to Lambert until ConViction comes out and besides Masse was kind of cybernetically alive to put it in a simple way since his algorithms where being used to create a war between US, Japan, North Korea, South Korea and China. So who knows....

No they end differently. Sam killed a SC agent at the of the current gen game. I'd bet that ending is not cannon as there would be no way for Sam to legally clear his name. Treason/murder is capital offense punishable by death. Next gen is the likely ending they'll use if they use any. |

I dont understand why sam had to kill his fellow teamates???? Williams is the bad guy.... the "other" splinter cell probably had no idea he was working for a corrupt leader???

To get to Williams he will probably have to "accidentally" eliminate those SC agents still with the NSA. You never know, they could be rogue too. Never Ignorant, Getting Goals Accomplished |
