There's a difference between insulting the other users and expressing your opinion.

Please don't try to guess who I am because you have no idea. I could be 40 for all you know. There's no reason to try and insult me for trying to point out that you're taking it too far.

are you serious ? , so you would rather me sugar coat the truth , when some times the truth hurts and Truth be told, its people like this who
made doubleagent multiplayer dumbed down because they felt it was to hard and so ubisoft catered or tried to "reach out" to a broader audiance but in still doing so screwd the hardcore veterns like myself and many others.

2ndly don't preach to me pal I know YOU are at least in ur late teens so don't go down that road. I am talking about those children that are like 8 playing a M rated game which ive heard happen before over their microphones and this is the exact case based upon reactions, WHY DO YOU THINK Ubi has an age verfication on thier site, so that little toddlers can whine about course language ? give me a break .

First of all, the fact that I am sixteen and am more mature than you is pretty sad. We are merely debating whether or not language should be very prevelant in the game and then you come in here calling "US" brats? I don't think of myself as a brat, I think of myself, as a sixteen year old guy who apparently has grown up faster than you have. Don't go pretending you know someone, because you have no idea who or what you may be insulting, and that is unacceptable. You have not even seen me or anyone else in these forums in all likely hood, and then you act as though you have? Insulting is not the way to go. Now, please act more mature, as the adult you apparently like think of your self as.

EDIT: The above post is a bit harsh, I just got very angry. However, I am ademant on the staement that you should never judge people simply from a distance. But I do not take too kindly to being called, "brat", that is just an insult that was invented to tell kids they are unimportant. Please forgive my rashness, but please also, do not insult others simply because you feel like it. C ya Smile

The personal insults and flaming stops here, otherwise the ban hammer will get an airing.

The thread returns to it's intended topic or it will get locked.

Easy really Smile

I suppose you're one of those new fans that were drawn to this game by the loud explosions and pretty lights..

This thread is debating the frequency of the use of the F word, which happened several times in mere minutes, God knows what it's going to be like in the game.

Personally, I find swearing unappealing and only resort to it when I feel immature, I'm hardly young and it upsets me that Splinter Cell has taken this tone, and whilst it may be realistic I will miss the intellectual discussion and jokes of old, as compared to dialogue that was ripped from a Beverly Hills Cop movie.

Hear hear!

They didn't need it in any of the previous games and I don't see why they need it now.

I still can't believe that Beland swears in interviews and public displays.

Is he serious? What professional ACTUALLY swears while PRing?

Is he trying to look cool?!

Young little brats happen to like Gears of War and Grand Theft Auto because of the 'naughty' things like language, manhunt-style violence, sexual situations, etc.

Know why? CUZ ITZ K00L AND M4TUER LOL.

I want a proper sequel to Chaos Theory that retains the same core gameplay mechanics and storytelling seen in the series pre-Double Agent while adding to the experience with innovative features. I do not want a rehash or clone of Chaos Theory.

I think it is most certainly different from what most people do lol. I do like his enthusiasm, but cussing should not necassarily be resorted to. There are other ways to show enthusiasm, like listening to the fans lol. Sorry, had to say it. Smile

With regards to the original topic. I would really appriciate if the developers left out profanity. Perhaps they could make it an option you could turn off and on in the settings.

Ive kids & my wife around constantly. If the profanity is excessive, and esp. if the F-Bomb is in dialog. ill have to run the game w/out sound. meh!

Please leave it out..

Totally agree. I'm in the same situation, and I wish that they would just leave it out. You can get across the point of these terrorists being big thugs without them dropping the F-bomb around every corner.

We don't just make the characters swear for the fun of it - there's always a valid reason.

I agree that there is some valid context for swearing in the game, but I'm just wanting the developers to really consider taking out the F-word or making it an option to turn it off. The other swearing that's been present in the previous Splinter Cell games is really no big deal.

I'm way stoked for the game, but I'd like to see a little revision done on the language when it's finally released.
I AGREE with you all the way , you don't need any of it at all, but you realy need some *&%$$ just use works H*** . In Love

Well, in DA, Emile could be pretty angry at some times, Moss seemed to be all the time, and was pretty mad at the end of DA as well.
