Stealth game

For clarification...
Stealth is the art of going unnoticed

Why would you think it would be a button masher anyways? Didnt you play previous SC games?

Which in no way suggests that it would be a button masher...

Possible, but I didnt think SCCT was going to be a full blast action-pack game from the first trailer. Cause it was logical what was coming because I knew it was a SC game. Yeah, even with all the grenade-throwing, shotgun-blasting, and cutting throats.

Remember SCDA trailers? They had Sam running around in an alleyway shooting at cops with an Uzi.

Well, throwing people across the room and people seeing and attacking you seems to me like a button masher..

Its a stealth game. People who are stealthy and know how the game is supposed to be played, arent worried about the game being a button masher. Chaos Theory would be a button masher if all you did was kill everything in your path. But just like conviction, all the violence and combat is about surviving when you get spotted. The people that are good at the game dont have much to worry about. Now. lastly. I think the splinter cell series is going in the wrong direction. Double Agent was going in the right direction. Cause it was still splinter cell even though it was different than previous splinter cells. If sam fisher wanted to avoid attention, since hes a fugitive, he wouldnt need to adopt all new tactics. there was day time missions in DA that didnt revolve around social stealth. if he wanted to, he could be invisible to all those who are looking for him. instead of wandering around on the street. i cant wait for the insult assault im about to recieve.

Sorry but this is the Number one comment that is total bull **** on my list. Enough of the whole "the way it's suppposed to be played." First off it sounds like you just ripped off Nvidia's marketing quote and secondly THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG WAY.

I heard so much of that **** back in CT and pre-DA release about people not playing SvM the "right" way. However you choose to play is your way to play. I have had enough of this with people deciding they are going to evaluate other people's personal play styles. If you don't like the way I play my games then that is tough for you but telling me im not playing them "correctly" is total BS.

I have always played games differently from other people...in some way. This is one thing I will agree with you on. Smile

The producer of SCCT did say too that you're supposed to play the game the way you felt like it and their not going to force you to play the game a certain way.

i wasnt talking about multiplayer. i was talking about single player, where the only right way, is the stealthy way. if you say you're not supposed to play stealthy in single player, than lol. i was saying the game is being played the wrong way if you're turning it into a button masher. that was why i was arguing, for conviction being called a button masher, before. maybe you didnt read it.

With the introduction of shotgun and sniper, stealth became optional. You could play SC like a tactical shooter. And you can actually win on easier difficulties with that strategy Smile.

Except for no-kill missions of course.

lol, yeah. i never used the weapons in Chaos Theory. well i did before i knew how to play, but yea. starting a shootout on expert can be fun though. i like getting 100% with zero knockouts better though.

But like psyichic said, their is no "right" way to play the game. All ways are equally right. Some easier than others. Where as some are more fun than others. Still what I prefer is that having many ways to play the game.
