First of all when you shoot him (or not) in the end of SCDA sam say's to him "hold on, help is comming" and lambert even is able to mutter a couple words himself. Second, in between levels you hear Lambert talking about Fisher and the missions to someone in the past tense as if he were explaining the events to someone (perhaps officials in the nsa). The story of SCDA is a story told by Lambert as he recalls events. I think that at the end of Conviction we will find out that lambert is alive and he will be telling the story and explaining sams involvment in the jba
sticks and stones may break your bones but guns will surely kill ya. running with scissors is so overated |

Thats impossible I shot him in the head point blank

I noticed the "help is on the way" line but I didn't notice it was like he was telling a story, excellent point. just one question, don't you kill him for real in essentials?

there is a retrospective by lambert after the iceland mission how sam got into jail. but that doesnt necessarily have to be after the end of scda, it might also be told while same is in elsworth. |

Let's hope you're right with that - at least when it comes to Lambert's fate. Sigs & Avatars | Terms of Use | My Blog | Patches & more | Vth_F | W[N]M | NORG - In loving memorial to my father Wilfried Geissler - † 6th of October 2007 - |

I hope Essentials is non-canon cause
1. Lambert rocks and I want him to live to see another Splinter Cell. 2. I haven't played Essentials. |

Yeah. I also noticed how after the Iceland mission he says something like "It wasn't easy to break the news to him (Fisher)..." like he was narrating a story.
Even though I said before that he's probably dead, I still want him to be alive. |

It certainly wouldn't be the worst idea to get Lambert back.

Well I can't tell you what will be in the game because that's top secret, but I can tell you some of the things that won't be.
Despite popular rumor that it'll be a GTA knock-off, in ConViction Sam Fisher will not be trying to get prostitutes to get in the car with him, and then shoot them afterwards. =p And on another, more serious note, even though a lot of people are saying that the crowds of ConViction will be merely a copy of Assassin's Creed, if you pick up the cover issue of Game Informer on Assassin's Creed, you'll realize that they were making very ambitious claims about their crowd AI dynamics and innovative mechanics. That issue came out almost a year and a half before the game did, and just a few weeks ago, I pulled it out and read it again after already beating the game a few times, and I can see a huge difference where they said they wanted to be a year ago and how short their AI fell of their own expectations. The main difference between ConViction's progress and Assassin's Creed's final display are basically that, as of last year's Ubidays gameplay presentation given by Raphael, they are not just making ambitious claims. As he walked through the crowds and showed their different and unique dynamics, Raphael backed up his claims that "they talk about things like last night's football game" and "get suspicious of you if you hang around too long" by actually doing the things that he was talking about. The difference is, Assassin's Creed pushed claims on paper and all the while, ConViction was showing those claims. I doubt it'll have the same crowd as AC. |

Gah, I can't remember if I was trying to post this in here or in the Ubidays thread... ugh
Oh well, I tried to answer your question so I guess I posted it in the right place regardless, lol. And that, ladies and gentleman, is the report from a lousy most credible source. |
