It didn't happen.
If I remember right, so far, all the speculation about Scott and Fisher being in EndWar are just rumors. And even if they're true, it's non-canon with the Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon franchises. Same thing with HAWX. Lots of people actually thought that just because the Ghosts are in the trailers, that HAWX will be the continuation of the Ghost Recon franchise. Mitchell is the founder and in charge of the JSF in EndWar - that's confirmed. However the only time Fisher was mentioned was during an Interview with Michael De Plater on Gamespot and he was (most likely) just kidding around as he said "President Fisher". Sam is simply not the type of character that would like to become a "paper warrior" and therefor wouldn't fit into the role of a President. Sam himself said once "Great...I love beaurocrats" (with the typical ironic tone in his voice) back in Chaos Theory (Maria Narcissa Tanker Mission). BTW: Lauren, there is actually a connection between the Ghosts and HAWX as well as a connection between EndWar and HAWX. Oh. There was a thread about it a month or two ago at Advanced Warfighter, and Miss Kleaneasy asked something about the source of the claims that made me assume they were just rumors.
But hey, cool beans. Scott's gonna lead a war. Well I know there will be a connection. First mission of HAWX is supposed to be about the last mission of GRAW2 where they blow up the warheads. But what I was saying was, some people actually thought that HAWX is supposed to be a sequel per say, a true continuation to the Ghost Recon story, not just a connected story. According to a few Magazines, not just the first Mission but that's still tbc. I'm aware of that however it might not be a direct continuation of the GR story, but if it's true that you'll get to cooperate with the Ghosts in HAWX more than one time, the events in HAWX could lead up to the next setting of the GR series, although that's just my pure speculation. Who knows, maybe we'll also get to see Scott's Promotion to General. Personally I'd love to see that. Funny fact: One of the Developers of Shaun White's Snowboarding in Montreal, is actually a man named Scott Mitchell. But according to wiki, there is going to be some link between Splintercell and Endwar. So considering from that aspect, will Sam make an appearence in Endwar?

My guess is that Endwar will probably set the stage for the next SC hopefully its L&S and they put Lambert in it cause hes not dead. |

Well ConViction is set in 2010.
And EndWar is set in 2020. Splinter Cell games are 1-2 years apart in setting. Ten year gaps are way too long. "ConViction is so different, you wonder what makes Ubisoft think this should even be called a sequel to the critically acclaimed and groundbreaking series." – IGN.com |

Hehehe then I guess maybe SC will be made before to try to find intelligence on the whole mess of 2020. Sam goes to Russia and Europe. I wonder if the EF in Endwar will find anything about the Masse Algorithms after all they are the ones who use electronic warfare.

It is highly suggested that the game will serve as a tie-in with the events occurring in Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell. The website makes references to a "Ghost Leader", "Crosscom", "Splinter Cell" and an audio sample of the Splinter Cell night-vision activation sound effect can be heard, all being trademarks of the Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell series. A TeamXbox Article confirms that Captain Scott Mitchell of the Ghost Recon series indeed survives the events of GRAW 2 and leads the JSF. Lead designer Michael de Plater has revealed that the Ghost Recon team will be the Special Forces team for the US faction, Rainbow Six characters will be promoted as special EF commanders, and Third Echelon will provide battlefield intelligence, along with special units such as snipers. The U.S. president in the novelization of the game is David Becerra who also happens to be the first Hispanic President. During the Ubidays 2008 conference, it was revealed that units appearing in the upcoming Tom Clancy game HAWX will also be available in EndWar. In an IGN interview De Plater said the setting of EndWar (as a possible series) is a global battle, but this installment is focused on the North Atlantic theatre of battle, Europe, Russia and North America, but players will also hear reports of events in other parts of the world. |

Sam Fisher is what? in his 40's when the 1st game was released and that game took place in 2003 (i believe) Endwar takes place in 2020 and that would mean he would be in his 60's. I doubt he would make an appearance. Also like Vth said, Deplatter was joking when he mentioned Sam being president (I cant remember what the Presidents name was in the novel, but it wasnt fisher)

Wow. lol Dude, Ubisoft froze Fisher's age at 42 a long time ago. The series could go on for another 100 years and Sam would still be only 42. |

I believe Sam will probably director of Third Echelon if Lambert appears to be dead (he better not be dead) and if he isnt the Third Echelon Director maybe hes the Splinter Cell Trainer or something?

I thought it was understood all games with the Tom Clancy brand take place in the same universe, save a possible few like Clear and Present Danger (game) and ruthless.com.
In fact Chaos Theory and the PS2/GC version of Ghost Recon 2 are tied together by the sinking of the USS Clarence E. Walsh. |

Urgh, that's what I hate so much about it! This isn't the Hardy Boys where they're still 17 after 52 books. This is Tom Clancy, dang it, where's the realism in being permanently young even when the world you live in continues to age? You can't just do stuff like that, make a fact and then change it later on. Because then you have weird people like me who get all bent out of shape about it! He wasn't even that young in the first game. >_< "ConViction is so different, you wonder what makes Ubisoft think this should even be called a sequel to the critically acclaimed and groundbreaking series." – IGN.com |
