I realized while playing through SCDA just a moment ago that I really miss the old school SC. You know, the ones that you were pretty much a SC the whole time. I miss how the story would unfold as you gathered more and more intelligence and then lambert woulds same "Oh my god sam!" whenever he discovered something new that needed immediate attention. I miss those days. I know ubisoft is notorious for not listening to their fans but I would hope that they wouldnt go as far as to revamp a whole series and destroy that which their fans have come to love and enjoy so much. Please Ubi... dont be stupid.

This is why I found myself repurchasing Chaos Theory a few weeks ago. Lucky for me, it's pretty cheap these days.
That and I miss my SC:CT coop story missions. &*(#ing Shanghai studio. |

Hello Splinter Cell fans
Look i agree with you that Chaos Theory is DA BOMB nad that you can sneak and do so much. But i mean if you think about it, Sam Fisher has been on so many missions that somebody must have noticed something, and that Double Agent is such a good game is that is totaly different frpm the others. You se another side of Sam, and i think Conviction will be great because he fights to survive and to discover who wants him dead. I am really anxious to play Conviction, just to see how the story is. I hope that they will make a Splinter Cell 6. Maybe in Conviction at the end he will come back to third Ecehleon, and that SC6 will be as the good old SC-games :9 Thanks |

So why did you sell it anyways nothing that good should be ever sold I mean its the highest score ever accomplished by a game. |
|||
|
I don't have a lot of cash (or time) for video games. I typically have to sell or trade in my games to buy new ones. If I am lucky I get 2-3 new games a year. |

Highest score for a game was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, it got 10/10. Get Crazy. |

oops forgot to say it was on current gen |

I nearly got it again for £3 (my old one is scratched) but then I changed my mind at the last moment. I reallly have a craving for a next-gen splinter cell game.

![]() we all do we all want a real splinter cell not any double agent or fugitive games with lousy multiplayer AI and a boring coop we all want a L&S splinter cell with a great SvM and something that would be great is if you could customize your spy and mercs appearances also we want a good coop not a game with bots that are really dumb. |
|||
|
Thank you for not leaving coop out. Most posts desiring a next gen Splinter Cell give emphasis to the single player campaign. I thought the SC:CT coop missions were better. I am a coop fanatic. I am addicted to coop. COOP OR BUST! A coop high just cannot be matched. I love it when my buddy says "It's my turn. I'll get this guard." He then tries to sneak up behind the guard but &^%$s something up and nearly raises the alarm (course sometimes it's me screwing the pooch) ...or... while your buddy has the first guard, a door suddenly opens up and a second guard comes out right between you and your pal but you are Mr. Quick Hands and subdue him before he can shoot your partner in the back. If that isn't a high five moment I don't know what is. I love those "Damn we're good!" moments. The more I think about this daylight crowd focused **** the angrier I get. I've moved past the despair and resignation phase. It's anger now. If they mess up Conviction it's gonna be another 2-3 year wait before I get a chance at additional coop missions. Why, God, why did they remove the coop missions from the 360/PS3/PC version of Double Agent?!? |

Oh come on if ConViction is not redesigned then what another long wait and the worst part is that Shanghai gets to develop again hopefully im wrong on that one and Montreal will develop SC6 another thing they should do is let you customize your spy and merc and they should use the ACES thingy to earn new gear and stuff but stuff that makes you blend in the dark and not shiny stuff for spies and mercs i guess could get other stuff too but I will say that this should be used for appearance only and not gameplay. I hope you also get all gadgets and the gear you get is for appearance.

Oh no, that's right. The next SC after Conviction would probably fall to the duty of the Shanghai studio. God damnit!
I am a big fan of customizing your character/avatar. That's one thing I like about Rainbow Six Vegas. I can customize the look of my character. Hat or bandanna or beret. Sunglasses or goggles. Mask Light armor. Heavy armor. No armor. It's all my choice. I like that. I like being able to look at a character's avatar and know who it is without reading the nametag that appears above their heads. It's especially great when you are hunting down a hated enemy on the other team. |

Mhhmmmm, I hate the way ubi is always developing 2 SC games at once, it means by the time the game is released it already to late to take it on board for the next title.
If Shanghai is next then we will probably only have a tiny chance of SvM in about 2 years time :O That will probably be their last chance aswell because by then spin off's of SvM will already be underway/completed. ______|TEH SIGZ|______________ |

Well if Ubi goes ahead and makes ConViction the way they were planning to make it then it will prove once and for all that Ubisoft couldnt care less about what their fans think. I wouldnt mind a few undercover missions. I saw the trailer where he picked up a chair and slammed it into a guy and I thought that was cool but it didnt feel like splinter cell to me. If the game was all undercover stuff I would hate it. If it had one or two I wouldnt mind but if the level of undercover missions is anywhere near the amount of the number in DA I might have to shoot myself. All this undercover makes a good story but lousy Splinter Cell gameplay. Truth be told, I just want to have the old way back. I just want to play as a Splinter Cell again.

I kind of liked the emotional detachment as a behind-the-scene theme. It made the game seem more professional, more realistic to me. An upcoming novel by me. Thanks Melonie for the sig! |

yes thats right its a 4 year wait and not a 2 year wait if Shanghai develops again |
|||
|
I think Ubisoft built Shanghai as an April Fool's joke and then decided to keep it afterwards...
