LONDON, UK – April 16, 2009 – Today Ubisoft announced that Ubisoft Montréal is developing Assassin’s Creed II on all current-generation platforms for a scheduled Holiday 2009 launch. The initial installment of Assassin’s Creed® was released in November 2007 to popular and critical success, selling 8 million copies worldwide, and garnering awards such as Best Action Game 2007 from 1UP and Outstanding Achievement in Animation from the AIAS.

Assassin’s Creed II is the product of over two years of intensive development by the original creative team behind the Assassin’s Creed brand. I don't think Altaïr will be in AC2. The playable ancestor of Desmond will be Ezio, who'll look the same (at least face-wise) but with cooler clothes and weapons.

yup the new one will be great its set in Renaissance Italy and we'll have 2 hidden blades and Leonardo da Vinci will be in it

Coats of Arms. In the New trailer thread we've been discussing them.

Middle one is Vatican CoA. One on the right is the Venetian CoA and the one on the left is the Pazzi family's CoA.

But I was actively looking at it with mikini and the others, so when I saw this I jumped to it. Was only a mtter of seconds though.

We watch intensly at the AC stuff and scrutinize it closely. Ubi usually hiding stuff. And the CoA stuff was already being researched in another thread, trying to gain inside knwoledge of the time the game is set, to try and think up ideas of what could happen.
