Well, with the coming of AC2 we see some RPG influences were implemented (like buying stuff). Wouldn't it be great to transform Assassin's Creed to a more complex RPG (ok, here I have mistaken, I mean a GAME) with a high dose of adventure? Imagine following the story of some ancestor of Desmond as he becomes an assassin and follows his own path in this engaging lifestyle.
Anyway, wouldn't some more RPG influences transform AC into a more complex game, adding many and many hours of gameplay?

Well, not a 100% RPG. An RPG with a great sense of adventure. I mean taking the present AC (for example AC2) and implementing more role-playing elements. The essence of AC is and will always be action, the thrill, the adventure, and this cannot be taken away.

OK i got your point, but what can i think of more role-playing elements in AC 2? I like the action of AC2 but if you make more role-playing elements the game maybe get to complicated and if you need to by al that RPG stuff the fun is gone for me, like i said i want action and not running through Venice to by something for a mission and than get back wit a golden spoon or something.

I think people are confusing what he was taking about with the sterotype of an RPG. What I think he means is having stats and being able to boost them, also having weapon and armour profiles which will have diffrent effects, allowing the player to find their own style, which I agree with.

if they were ever going to do a full RPG (or even to any standard classed as a RPG) they would have to loose a lot of what makes the game what it is, while I wouldn't rule out a AC RPG (could be quite interesting) I wouldn't put it in line with AC1 or AC2 as you would **** off the core gamers. the only way I could see this happening is with a spin off from the main story line.

You are right. I didn't said that it would be a pure RPG, but something else. Something more sublime. Like you said, it would be nice to have more customizations and the ability to "sculpt" your own main character with them as the game unfolds.

@caswallawn_2k7:
of course it would require a twist of the main story. it is not possible without that. besides the main story, it would be nice to have the option to make decisions. this way it would be more player-concentrated, rather than following a straight (although challenging and very dynamic) storyline.

Just because it's a linear experience doesn't mean it's not player concentrated. There are enough RPGs. For once I'd like a straight path game. Well, AC is not really even that. It uses a much more creative way of giving the player choices than choosing skills from a list.

not all RPGs require you to choose skills from a list and i like the idea of making AC just a little more like an RPG but not too much as said before itd kill the way AC is played

That would be awesome with costomisable stats, a player might want a faster assassin, or one whos stronger, or can jump better, and having a stat system whcih you can boost would reflect that, allowing the player to make the assassin atune to their style of gamplay, rather than just playing as a set chracter.

I think Assassin's Creed being an RPG would be AMAZINGGGGGG!!!!!!!

-Lootable enemies
-Raisable stats (stealth, acrobatics, blade/blunt skill)
-Side Quests that actually have meat on them like Oblivion, none of these 5 min side quests

If they added all this OMG THAT WOULD BE AWESOME

AC2 is pretty much flawless as it is now... no RPG, that would make it overly complicated.

It's actually been confirmed that AC2 will let us loot enemies. I dislike the idea of raising stats to get better because that's just a lazy method developers use to lengthen gameplay with grind. I prefer when a game asks the actual player to improve rather than asking the player to make the character improve.

I prefer ACII as it is, I don't want it to become too RPGish. If I did I would just boot up Oblivion with my Assassin character and play that Razz

oblivions main quest line only took about 30 minuets, they just added the stat grind to make it seem longer. Shady
