I understand why Frederico and Giovanni are hanged but poor Petruccio

ITS A ME!! MARIO! |
Possible Spoilers!!
Ezio oculd of been away when they arested the men, and then his dad told him to dilever the letter proving his innocence.... so thats not the reason y he wasn't arrested... but if you watch the TGS trailer when Ezio threatens the hanging guy when his dad and brothers are been hung, the guys says arrest him. So maybe he was meant to be arrested and hung but he wasn't home at the time. But then he kills the guards and runs away so he doesn't get arrested... by the looks |

Maybe he could have been given a chance to not be hung. Maybe by showing up at the hanging and going nuts(understandably) he changed their minds again so they decided to go ahead with trying to take him in as well. Truth is written in blood..... What I wanna know is how Mario managed to escape being hanged like the rest of the men. He runs a full army, which should be really suspicious
![]() |
That's probably the reason...
Not in 15th Century Italy it wasnt. Many cities relied upon Private Armies (Mercenaries) to protect them. So it wouldnt have been unusual for individuals to command hundereds of men. And as others have said, that was 15th Century justice/politics. Anything went. You wanted to wipe out a family you had to leave no way for them to strike back, the simplest way to do that? kill all the males in the family. If you dont? well you get Ezio |

If he was such a popular figure, wouldn't it be more reasonable for them (templars) to kill him first? It wouldn't look that suspicious
If you are reffering to Mario then that would be easier sid than done. For one thing he looks, and would have to be, a formidable fighter in his own right. Second IIRC he lives in/near the Auditore Villa and would be heavily protected by the town walls and by his men. But you are correct, as an assassinated Condottieri probably wouldnt have been a big suprise back then. |

It kinda seems like he's around a lot, so i don't really think it'd be a problem to plot an assassination
Off course. Anyone can conspire/plan to assassinate anyone by themselves. But problems arise when others are involved, and most of all when attempting to carry out the plot. And looking at Mario, he looks like he has probably survived a few assassination attempts already.
So in conclusion, easy(er) to plan. Hard to carry out an assassination against him. Or anyone for that mattter. Unless your name is Ezio or Altair |

Nahh, ezio probably could never kill his uncle. Mario would just epic rape.
Lol, what I meant was 'normal' people have trouble plotting and carrying out any assassinations. Ezio and Altair, on the other hand, do not.

Such is true. They're pretty legit.
I think thi would qualify as a family matter.
Basically, I wanted to point out that Ezio said that his uncle Mario owned a villa in monteriggioni when he was talkng to the courtesan's leader in the faction vid. Well, if Ezio inherited it, wouldn't mean that Mario will die soon? I know we do eventually hit a massive time-skip, but maybe Mario dies in battle or gets taken out by someone |
Possible. But there are any number of ways that Ezio could inherit the villa.
Not knowing the exact deatils of the inheritance laws of the time, or Guliano's and Mario's respective ages (i.e. who is older than the other) it is possible that Guliano, if he was older, may actually own the villa. But due to his work, both public and private, it would have been impractical for him to live there. And with Mario's work he would need a fortified town and villa as a base of operations for his mercinaries. With Guliano's death the villa would then pass on to Ezio, who having no official job would be able to take a more active role in the running of the villa and its town. Therefor Mario may very well cede the villa to Ezio. And bam! after a whole load of legal rubbish and wild speculation Ezio is now running the villa and its town. |
