Well, the patch doesn't seem to address the issues I was having with the game. It will run for a fair bit, but still crashes/freezes. I've got no idea what this patch was supposed to fix, but it certainly doesn't seem to make the game run any better for me, unfortunately. Frown

Still crashes for me when I'm trying to get to Jerusalem in memory block 3 from finishing Acre approaching the last viewpoint.

Updated vista, vid drivers, turned graphics to low despite having a dual core, fatality sound card, and 8800gts. The rest of the game was very beautiful and smooth up until that point. Downloaded the patch from ubi.com. So I'm still at a loss here, any ideas?

Only thing that seemed strange to me was the actual patching, it was very fast. I know the size of the patch wasn't very large, but in my experience patching is a long process, and that was almost instantaneous. Am I just being paranoid?

Yeah, I think you're being paranoid. The patch went pretty fast for me, also, and it seems to me like your system is probably "above average" enough to zip through the install.

Yeah, I'm thinking paranoid too. It's a tiny wee hotfix more than a patch though, let's be honest

the patch almost fixed my damascus glitch -- i can run freely through the souk al silaah... but in another place it still freezes.
and the game does not crash at max settings anymore

I'll be expecting a second, more involved patch within the next month or two. And I'm still wondering why we went straight to 1.02

Jolion 28 i suppose you downloaded the driver from Nvidia out two days ago, which unfortunately didn't do anything for me, apart fixing some minor issues in some other games... i read the release note and there was only a tiny passage dedicated to the assassin's creed fix(not the random crash fix)... i tried the patch and the latest driver, and it seems the game runs a bit smoother than last time, but the crash still persists

Since installing the patch I've been afflicted by a freeze rather than an actual crash. Annoying, but progress

My autoupdater just detected the patch, so I downloaded it.

And now, when I die, instead of appearing at the latest flag or cvilian rescue, I find myself at the assassin's bureau !!

This is so annoying, especially for the assassination in the port, since Altair can't swim !

This really was a bad idea.

You're not the only person who's come here because of the patch. And I'm sure you won't be the last. Have you tried running it without the patch as well? Maybe it'll work better that way? Happens like that for some people
