I see transportation by horse carriage is mentioned to but does anyone know if this is just a scripted mission? I think I heard some where from a legitimate source that you can use the carriage to transport people for money but your always going to get chased by the guards to your destination. Has anyone else heard this too? Oh & does anyone know if other people will be traveling on horse while riding from city to city or will it just be the player traveling on horseback like the first Assassins Creed?

You can still ride horseback from city to city, but there's a lot more to do in the countryside e.g. side missions, exploring smaller towns and random things like being pick-pocketed (not on horseback obviously). There is at least one mission where you transport someone in a carriage, but you can still travel in them normally. I don't think anyone knows whether you can pick up random people and take them.

Again, it resembles walls around a city, though it could be an irregular rock formation, alot of them.

Actually, it's probably a bridge. How would a horse get on a city wall? And that wheelbarrow has no business up one as well

Right, a bridge above the whole city

Still makes no sense to have a horse up there.

the guards had to have a way up to the wall, it is very possible this access point is large enough for a horse, more so since they seem to be doing work on the wall's so would probably be using horses on the wall's to move materials.

Huge walls like these were usually only accessable by ladders or stairs. Materials and the likes were transported up there by cranes. Building a ramp just so you can get a horse up there and the size of said ramp would be ridiculous. Horses don't handle steep surfaces too well, so you'd have to have a ramp stretching out for 3-5 times the wall's height. Try building that in a crowded city like Rome.

look in the back drop, from the direction Ezio is running there is a large hill inside the wall making a path way between the 2 points would be fairly easy.

In the game you will be able to walk, use a horse or a boat for transportation.
And yes the screenshot on the thread is from a mission in Rome, where you can ride on protection walls. It doesn't mean that you cannot use horses in other situation. We have already stated that The flying machine or the carriage are specifically use in mission, and are not meant to be use as a way to roam around. |
