To continue my thoughts, what if 16 is Al Mualim's descendant? That would explain his ring finger being cut off.
No it wouldn't...these fingers are being cut off as an intiation ceremony to the Assassins. This is not a genetic trait passed on from father to son and eventually subject 16. Now 16 being al mualim's descendent isn't the worst idea but it doesn't explain his finger being cut off
No it would though. He could be just like Al Mualim and was initiated into the brotherhood having his finger cut off and then betrays them later.

Or maybe it's just red to signify blood...
"Sometime's a cigar's just a cigar." |

NO! THERE'S A DEEPER MEANING TO EVERYTHING! And that cigar isn't a cigar sir, it's got a crushed jawbone from a crystal skull wrapped inside it. That thing will greatly improve your psychic learnings. Just... don't smoke it. (I'm joking, of course). But seriously. You guys must not have read the nonexistant update that Ubi put on its website. Orange-yellow signifies a guy who was in the animus and left you messages that link to conspiracies for fans to obsess over until the next game comes out. (Again, joking, love the obsession.) ^^ |

Yo Boudr dont think i spelt your name right but whatever can you tell us what the chinese means. sorry guys if someone wrote it down already i just dont have to much time right now to look through all of it. That would help a lot man.

LONG THREAD, just finished finally get to say my piece.
The next game- I believe there are two options. Either Desmond stays in captivity and continues using the animus or is rescued and uses an Animus owned by the Creed. Desmond is clearly special and probably the only descendent of the Creed who can access Altair's memories. From there the next two games I believe will be set in Japan and then Mexico. The reasoning is that any bloodwriting that does not apply already to the templars or countries in AC1 applies to Japan and Mayan/Aztec culture. (excluding Egypt because I believe it plays a role mostly w/ the mythology) Second, there are drawings of buildings from both Japan and Mayan/Aztec Culture. Could these be the viewpoints for the next games? The viewpoints from AC1 involved religious buildings when it wasn't watchtowers ex: the mosques, churches, and synagogues. The most significant is the Cathedral that is scaled. A religious symbol for its respective relgion. Possibly this is paralleled in both Japan and Mexico by the building near Yona Guni and the Aztec Pyramid on the steps. Blood Thoughts- I believe it was discovered by one person that there are actually 2 handprints. I'll bring it up again because they are positioned in a way that a person kneeling could have made them against that wall. Second, the glowing from the blood glows as a heartbeat. Kind of obvious, just noting cause it wasn't mentioned (I don't think)Possibly something else will be discovered by how the blood is actually in order. Maybe it follows a direction. If it was drawn by one person then you can follow it around the room a certain way might reveal some facts. Also, weird how no blood dripped anywhere throughout the whole writing process. In the bedroom there's a distinction between some of the writing, some of the writing is in finer print and smaller. There is a zm= but no rest of the equation in the top middle and a picture of the galaxies or planets colliding at the bottom right of the butterfly. There is also a 22:13 in the finer print. The print also appears white in color as opposed to the red of the other writing. Maybe this was a precursor for the next person who entered the room. Also, the stuff that looks like dripping above Yona Guni looks like snow capped mountains with a sun above it. I believe that there were definitely multiple people who wrote on the walls because of the differences in neatness. There is a fine line between what was written in the Nazca lines as compared to what's above Yona Guni. If your facing the conference room, the platform on the left contains what looks like dripping and scribbles. I haven't come close to any kind of conclusion but if you stand on the stairs that are near the bar code and face towards the conference room, the top looks like a continuation of the mountains from near Yona Guni. The second part on the bottom has a long and short side. If you stand on these same stairs, and look away towards where Vidic and Lucy exited, the right middle part looks like a face that looks uncannily like Desmond, or with a part at the bottom right of it, half of a smiling face. The platform opposite the room looks like it has the theme of Egypt. There is the eye of Horus, but also what looks like the three pyramids. These pyramids are also said to be built in correlation to the skies so that they are the pieces of the constellation Orion and that they are the belt. Might have something to do with the Templar plot. Finally, no one yet has addressed the pentagram immediately outside the animus. Any suggestions as to what this means? EDIT: Just took a look back inside the bedroom and found that there are actually handprints all over the big wall, 2 underneath "an irreparable", one in between the 2 lines of chinese text underneath one of the Zm= equations, one at the bottom right of the Lorenzo Butterfly equation, and finally one underneath "Quetzocoatl's Hunger". The handprints are also all a lot smaller than the writing implies. The missing fingers- It makes sense that losing a finger could be an initiation. When you turn a certain age, you lose the finger but gain your hidden blade and are thus able to begin your assassinations. Maybe the missing finger is actually where the hidden blade is always supposed to fit. #16- For those who believe that Leila was #16 this was impossible. Leila and Lucy were friends. If Lucy worked at the company they would obviously know that Lucy was an assassin. The other possibility is that Lucy actually is a converted assassin or a "converted" assassin who is actually just working her way deeper into the templar community. Maybe Lucy was the one with the smaller handprints all over the mural who was trying to read it while the other templars were gone. Finally, she might have also written the smaller print that I mentioned before. Thats what I have and I know that its insanely long but please take the time to read it; I believe that its mostly original content. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. |

what do you do know ive accessed all the computers look'd at the drawings and now what can desmond escape or what? and why does the lucy have all of her finger's what bout the missing one it regrew
Hardly, lucy always had all her fingers. Do you really think the company wouldn't notice she was missing a finger and wouldn't ask question once they stumbled on that certain fact in the Animus' history. Lucy bent her finger over to show that she was on desmond's side and was also somehow connected to the assassins

Good thoughts. Nothing I very strongly disagree with. There might be something to say about the different handwriting styles that is easily explainable with only #16 doing the writing: his "bleeding effect" came from multiple ancestors. Some had neater handwriting than others. Or perhaps he started neatly, and then as he got more and more demented, it got messy and strained. The finger also, I think, doesn't hold the blade per se; I think the finger's removed so that the blade can come out while you're making a fist. You noticed that while you're assassinating people, it looks like you're just punching them in the kidneys? That's what I kind of think. Good post, thanks for reading the thread. Stick around and keep the ideas flowing. Side note, I just "finished" finding all my Templars as per the maps posted earlier, and I'm 5 short. SAD YET ANGRY FACE. |

I don't know if this has already been said or if its obvious enough to notice but Altair and Desmond have the same face even the same scar on their lips. One of the first things i did when i got this game, was to look at Altair's face, and i noticed they were the same. It might have to do something about the bleeding effect of the animus along with the eagle vision at the end.

It was actually looked down upon to survive an assassination; one mother (a Nizari Ismaili) disowned her son after he did.I'm sure there were various instances where they did survive, but they generally didn't even try. They preferred to be martyred in the act. The leaving a dagger legends are mostly myth invented by Marco Polo. However, they were notorious for reaching teir goals nonviolently, by demonstrating the level to which they had infiltrated their target's inner circle. One such instance involved an occasion where a representative met with a target, asking to speak privately. The target refused to dismiss two of his bodyguards, who were "as brothers" to him. The Assassin ordered the bodyguards to put their knives at the target's throat, which they did. The historical inaccuracy doesn't bother me at all. First, it's a game involving conspiracy, which is always rampant speculation and historical creatiity. Also, AC as it is is certainly more interesting than a game where you spend years reading Plato and preaching, concluding with one assassination. As to the Templar leader dying in 1193, well, who's to say some prick didn't put that in the history books on a whim? Q: And progress? A: And progress. |
I'm not even bothering. About nine times or so during the game I would be involved in a fight which a Templar would join. I would kill the Templar and not get credit for it. I don't even count the ones in Acre (because I have difficulty differentiating between them and the Crusaders). But in Damascus I several times would kill a Templar and receive no credit for it. Probably a glitch in the game which precludes me from getting them all. Maybe the same happened to you. Q: And progress? A: And progress. |

Hey everyone keeps talking about this lorenz thing.
This keeps coming up and I saw someone link it to wikipedia and I read something about the "Butterfly Effect" well... The whole idea behind that is that if you alter the past the future is altered as well, what if this has something to do with the game... Maybe one of the artifacts allows you to travel to the past and now since you know what happened you can alter it :O Also this kinda relates to the Philadelphia incident since that has to with time travel etc. I dunna, didn't see that idea anywhere in the pages I read, thought I'd just throw it out there. |

I was just wondering and this may sound extremely noobish but did anyone notice that Lucy was missing the hidden knife finger also?

Haha, very noobish.

OK I was looking at that wall and I disovered something I have not read on any of the forums... well it has been there... but it has been mis-read!
The equation everyone is saying is Zm something or another well thats not it.... The real equation is Zn + 1 = Zn² + c I did a little bit of research with it and the equations has to do with fractals! Feel free to dig deeper And @Mjancaitis she is always wearing a prostetic finger... |
DD1990, we know about the fractals. It's the Mandelbrot set equation.
And how do you know it's a prosthetic finger? Isn't it much more likely that they'd notice a prosthesis and assume she's an assassin and never let her in? I'm not trying to say you're flat wrong, but when you say "she's always wearing" a prosthetic, it'd be nice to have any kind of proof supporting that. |
i know this is noobish but do you get anything for getting all the templars?
