Hello to all.As we all know, Rodrigo Borgia is a guy that comes out in the first Lineage film series. He's the guy in the Black robes in the beginning of Lineage. We dont really know much about him, but we can tell he is a major character in not only Lineage but in AC2 as he comes out there too behind Umberto when Ezio gets his sword thrown to the ground by a brute. Now, do you think he might be an assassin turned bad? That hood that he wears resembles an assassin's robes. Do you think he might be an assassination target or quite possibly "the boss"? This guy has something about him in Lineage that makes me think he might be. He's sneaky and they focus on him a lot when he's on screen. Let me know what you guys think.

Rodrigo Borgia = Pope Alexander V1 (1492-1503)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodrigo_Borgia

He is most likely the pope that Ezio meets/kills(?).

Given that he dies the same year the game ends its entirely possible that he could be the last assassination target, and the boss/leader of the Renaissance Templars.

Well, if we have to kill him we´ll probably have to poison him considering that it says in the link that he might had died that way.

I just finished reading this book "La Roma de los Borgia" by Guillaume Apollinaire (The Rome of Borgias) http://www.librarything.com/work/3944978 and it featured Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia) who was a douche indeed, to say the least Veryhappy as was the whole Borgia family Veryhappy him and his son, Cesar Borgia ruled Rome with an iron poisoned fist, maybe Ezio will get to confront Cesar Mean Happy that would be awesome because in Volume One of Celebrated Crimes, Alexandre Dumas, père, states that some pictures of Jesus Christ produced around Borgia's lifetime were based on Cesare Borgia's face, and that this in turn has influenced images of Jesus produced since that time, and if you've seen a portrait of Cesar you can't un-observe the resemblance, this brings us to the religious/templar part of the game Big Grin
I recommend it to everyone who wants to know about Italy in that period of time
oh and Cesar Borgia briefly employed Leonardo da Vinci as military architect and engineer between 1502 and 1503. Cesar and Leonardo became intimate instantaneously - Cesar provided Leonardo with an unlimited pass to inspect and direct all planned and undergoing construction in his domain. Before meeting Cesar, Leonardo had worked at the Milanese court of Ludovico Sforza for many years, until Charles VIII of France drove Sforza out of Italy
so if the Sforzas are in the game, Leonardo is in the game, Pope Alexander VI is in the game, I'm almost sure Cesar will make an appearance too Big Grin and Ezio will be waiting for him Mean Happy

Maybe Ezio sends Leonardo to infiltrate the pope's inner circle so that he can have a man on the inside.

Leonardo was working for Alexander's son Cesar but I don't think he was infiltrating anything, but in the game, it might be possible

I am quite certain Alexander is definitely the main villain and a Templar, with scheming, atheist knights of the temple evolving into scheming, atheist popes.

Alternatively, Leonardo da Vinci is the real villain, manipulating assassin and templar alike to get at those neato alien artifacts and take the credit a la Abstergo in the first game.

an interesting fact is that his last words were "wait a minute.." persumably is that he and ezio have some sort of duel at the end of the game {much like altair`s and almualim} but ezio may not kill him directly maybe he will faint because of the excessive power of his version of the piece of eden{or maybe even the masyaf piece who knows ?} and ezio will put him in his bed and he will awake and suddenly everyone is around him and he will see a glimpse of ezio and say "wait a minute .... uhhh" then die.... what do u think ?

BTW, I think this pretty much explains that he is Indeed the Pope and maybe the last assassination target.

I don't think Ubisoft will take it this far, killing a pope in the game (although I'd love it Mean Happy) because it might start a scandal with the catholic church, I'd love it tho, if Ezio will take on Cesar Borgia, the real mastermind Mean Happy
