I was looking through some gameplay vids and some his res renders of Ezio and noticed something.

In the gameplay vids, the flaps on the shoulder without the cape has the red stripes, but in the renders, it does not.

Here's the belt mockup (i had stripped the paint from the insignia, and just poured it for a mold.), I mounted the buckles onto a piece of Cintra that was bent with a heat gun, so the insignia won't be taking any of the strain.

it'll be hidden underneath the sash, with the buckles poking though, and the cardboard'll be replaced by real leather that I'll cut, tool & dye Smile When i cast the insignia i'll add a couple o' bolts, to it, and after drilling a couple holes into the cintra, I'll bolt the insignia onto the belt

May post again later if i make noticable progress Smile

Fev, I continually grow more and more jealous of your abilities. You need to be a costume designer for movies.

Hey Thanks Swifty, xyzknyte & sackboy! As more stuff starts to pull together and actually looks more recognizable, its getting more exciting to work on!

But been busy til I can get back in the shop and do other stuff..

Here's the 4 stages for the final insignia, the top left is the original sculpt, top right is the the mold I made using silicone mold rubber (a company called Smooth-on makes it), bottom left is a cast made, (dusted the mold with aluminum powder, then poured resin in), and bottom right is the finished insignia after i cleaned off the excess around the edges, painted it, added bolts to the back and mounted it onto the plate you can see in the last set of pics (its behind the sash) Smile

Here's a closeup of it, Making a few extras to stick on my car and other random stuff XD

And here's the tunic so far, it needs a lil fix before adding the segments on the bottom and the shoulders... and collar.. and hood... ugh.. but i think it turned out okay... should be easier when i get to the black edition one, but considering how long this thing alone took, i'd dead doing the black edition.. at least I can reuse the patterns i had to make for this one Razz

lol. that pic looks like a renfaire catalog photo XD

...and heres the back ^^ making sure it fits my fiance (he and i are nearly the same size, so he's the perfect model to use for laying stuff out! And i make him run around in it whenever possible <3 )

course, theres always some tweaking to do on things, but I'm REALLY happy with how the insignia turned out!. Next up, adding flaps and shoulder bits to the tunic, and changing out the cardboard belt straps with actual leather :3

HewieAlbino, yeah! the same held true in the first AC, there wer a lot of minor differences between different conccept arts, in game imagery, action figures, and other media! Guess as they get closer from cocnept , to promor, to the game itself, then back to merchandise, things shift a bit Smile

makes it fun to pick n choose between the stuff we like the most though, and considering all the other stuf you can buy in-game there's gonna be just too many choices XD

Awesome awesome awesome! Such details in the insignia. Gasp! And the tunic is... Wow...
Question though. How did u get the clay so smooth? Did you sculpt it that way or is it sanded down?

I'm probably going to remake my Ezio (which MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED after Halloween Shady ) for the Black version.

P.S. - Making the flaps was my favorite part of making the cosplay Big Grin

It's a really Authentic piece Fevereon. Keep it up!

As for my costume I still have some much needed work to add on too it. It turned out as a decent prototype but needs some much needed work to it...

Much thanks all! Actually, right now I;m still really happy with the insignia XD, usually i start hating stuff after a week.

The vest i'm okay with, but it still needs "debugging", and I'm making a second one, with a less shiney, but heavier gray fabric. Theres also a couple slits in the back i forgot to put in, so gotta fix that Razz
though I like the choice i made in terms of accuracy to the Jazzhands official art, I'm a bit concerned that it developing pulls, so I'm gonna make another out of that thicker material. This one may just stay as a snazzy vest, gone out a couple times wearing it, since its pretty nondescript lol

Uchi, pm me ^^ (are you puzzle of life on DA? )

Howie, I used Super sculpey to make the initial sculpt, and sculpted ad baked it in parts. After sculpting as close as i was in the mood to, and after baking it, I hit it real good with some sandpaper to smooth things out further before making the mold Smile

WTF. That really blows, things would be detonated if that crap happened to me Frown

Yeah, about to start on the flaps for the thing, they're a challenge to get to sit right both on my and my man's hips though...

Pics'll come, as usual, when noticeable progress is made! Ad thanks for the kindness, this projects been a hellspawn, and theres still so much to do T_T

Rise from the grave o' thread of the ancients!

So my fiance and I went to the relase of AC2 (despite my ordering it rfom another store less than a mile away that DIDN'T releaseat midnight booo) cuz i thought it would be amusing to crop up in AC costume. My fiance disavowed knowing me out of sheer embarrassment XD

So here's a couple pictures, had used my AC1 gear as filler for the stuff thats not done, and the belt is officially complete Smile

some of the crowd

vs. Left 4 Dead preorderin' fan

and another pic of me standing there with the box that I couldn't bring home T_T

Anywhoo, I wound up despising the tunic fabric choice a lot, it turned out looking a lot like the cosplaymagic.com costume, so I went back to the fabric store and got some linen looking material which looks closer to the texture you see when you get close up on Ezio

Tried my hand at dying the fabric, (which is something I've always been afraid of lol) and it actually turned out pretty well. While i was at it, I gave my AC1 gear a serious case of the dingies too X3

So yeah, resewing has begun on that, and will make the upper part a bit looser around the hips, cuz its all bunched up there. Plus other changes since I'm at it lol.. may go and toss together some of a black version too while at it Smile
