Why isn't the download available as a seperate download? I don't have anyway to get my PS3 online. For fw updates, I take my flash drive to work and dl the latest firmware. How the hell am I supposed to get the AC update? Is Ubi gonna make sure that NEW COPIES OF THE GAME COME WITH THE PATCH???

I was skeptic - and rightfully so.
I downloaded the 25 MB update. Game launched and I tried to continue my game.

Altair froze on the blue loading screen - AS USUAL.

THIS UPDATE DID NOTHING FOR ME....

When you went to get it, was there a description of what fixes the patch contained? Were there any instructions? I'd probably try it with a clean install.

i'm doing it right now, i'm really disappointed with the tearing still there. I didn't have many freezes before the patch so i can't say if they really fixed it. All I know is that the framerate seems much better.

No instruction. Download just starts automatically.
Second attempt. Got past the blue loading screen but the game froze after 15 secs. of walking...

Will try with a clean install....

ah i almost forgot, i had more freezes when i played connected to psn, and i don't have any now.
Coyote, maybe you should consider your copy of the game or your ps3 system being corrupted.

So I've just got the patch, I had to sign into my American PSN account to do it as it wasn't working on my PAL account. The game still runs like ass, framerate is still messy and I still have screen tear. I can't say about any freezing, but as I only had it freeze about four time thru my first play thru so it'll be a while till I can tell if thats been fixed.

One question to Ubi staff members, if the game no longer crashes is this going to be the only patch you put out?

Probably some glitches then, like 2 Altairs and that map glitch in Damascus...

I'm guessing they just worked on the big freezing and glitch errors, which doesn't suprise me, and they've done really well to get it out so quick if the patch has fixed those issues.

I'd love to know if they will be working on the other issues such as framerate and screen tear at a later point though.

ahhh, made no difference for me. game is still freezing!!! not happy at all. so... when's the next patch gonna come out?
