I was on the website for Game, and I noticed that the normal edition of Assassin's Creed II is rated as a '15'. But then I noticed that the White Edition is rated as '18+'.

Now I'm wondering - is this a mistake or is there differences between the two that make the White Edition have a stricter age rating? I mean, after all, the only difference between the two is that the White Edition comes with one extra quest, right?

Normal Edition

White Edition

Notice the different age ratings?

And I've noticed the same thing on Play.com - the normal edition on there is rated '15', but the special Black Edition is rated '18'.

It may be that they haven't updated the images yet or for some reason they see the special editions as being a more grown up thing. But it is pretty strange considering the game is the exact same for every version.

it is most likely a typo caused by the fact AC1 was only a 15 so when they listed the second game (before it was rated) they will of put 15 on it.

Assassins creed 2 is an 18 or a 17 depending which rating u get (i think)but the only reason its a 15 is because they guessed it would be that because the first AC was. So before it was officialy annouced or the cover was even released they took that as a final.
Soz if im wrong.

The 18 rating is from the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) and the 15 is from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). Britain has its own rating system that tends to be more informative,if you ask me, Eg it dosn't think that a bare back and then a fade to black means that people should be told a game contains sexual content.

not any more it got kicked off gaming about 2 months ago due to games not being able to be rated like film's so all games in the UK are now done under PEGI. look at any recent release and you will see the BBFC has been removed from them all.
