It was alot harder then AC1, if you are outnumberd you will take damage well i did anyways, the guards can take damage aswell, but its still a one shot kill if you use counter etc, you can headbutt them and do more combos now though and the disarm feature works well...

the smoke bombs are actually very effective, i didnt think i would use them much but they defonatly do work well when you are outnumberd and on your own

Were the controls for AC2 pretty easy to get the hang of?

The Mission I got was an assination side quest given to you but the thieves I think.

The aim was to take out 5 archers around the marks compound and then take out the target.

If you saw the TGS demo video it was the same mission and the same build I believe.

The controls were the same, though it took me a minute to get used the the PS3 pad, and if anything it was slightly more responsvie then I remember AC1 being.

The combat had an overhall with the ability to disarm your opponants and then beat them, with their own weapon - very good fun and brutally animated.

I think I got about 40 minutes out of the side mission (last play of the day, no one else was queuing) and if thats the effort that ahs gone into the side missions I can't wait for the main game.

As for the bugs the other guy reported I think they can be put down to the fact that it was the TGS build and thus 4 months old, I imgine there will have been a large amount of polish between then and now.

As I said all in all its looking good people.

Not sure, Frown I didn't really get chased by them that much, I wanted to try the fighting Razz

But I didn't get to do any stealth assassinations, the guards always knew I was there, and there is no "blend" button anymore. Hopefully that was just because my notoriety was high, so you can perform some stealth assassinations if you rip the posters and that down.

I hope that doesn't mean they rushed the PS3 version out over the 360 version.

I was going to make a new topic about when I played it there but I may as well post it here..

I waited about 1hour and a half for this but it was totally worth it. They really improved on the last one. The controls are pretty much the same but R2 has the weapon cycle and L2 was something about vision but I didn't use it. The city looks really nice, and so does the water. I liked how the fact that if you was to fall in the water, your clothes get soaked and they dry off. The canal boat was also very nice, I believe you press O to row. Oh and the hidden blade was also very nice to use. As you may already know, you can actually throw punches with the hidden blade. I found that they blocked the attack but stumbled back quite alot, so they fell off the building (: Oh and picking up dead bodies and dropping them off the building onto random people. I can't think of much else but if you wanna know something just ask (:

Everyone that lives in Europe is very lucky. Here in America I have to make do with the videos you guys post of the game in action.

Tell you what though, I am excited, and it seems like just roaming around and picking a fight will be just as fun as it was in GTA (a game that it is being compared to a lot nowadays)

installs are good they generally reduce load times and improve performance I really hope they do make use of the hard drive. (for an example of this look at the difference in load times for GTA4 over the 2 consoles since the 360 didn't have an install option)
