Yeah, the Ubi dude told me why. Basically, high up Ubisoft guys said "We don't want you to have ACII playable there." And apparently they told them to "basically go and EDIT" and brought it anyway. And they didn't want people filming it just in case.

Foul language isnt permitted on the boards, that includes hiding it with symbols Wink

You could do that in AC1 too.

Only when they were waving their arms around or on the ground. I managed to do it in a combo with the hidden blades.

Just to clarify this is not the case at all.

Its standard practice at any event like this not to allow photos and videos, the reason being it’s impossible to ensure those persons taking images/ videos do so with a quality that reflects the true quality of the game.

Ultimately any footage taken gets online and then causes worry among the community who are then rightly concerned about the quality on view.

Add to this we’ve released a huge amount of high quality video footage there’s really no need for this kind of recording to take place Thumbs Up

Ahh my mistake, I thought the London and Leeds event were running across the same weekend (which was a daft assumption in hindsight)

Well I'll be at the London one Saturday if anyones going lol Smile

Sorry for the language, I was just repeating what the Ubi representative told me.

And one of them had a cool ACII t-shirt, I've commissioned the dude from the Eurogamer Expo twitter to find out where he got it! :P

I obviously don’t know who you spoke to but at this stage before release an event like this would always have playable demo available, not to mention IF they'd been told not to take it they absolutely would not have done so, doing so would result in instant dismissal for them all Wink

Actually Ezio climbs exactly the same speed as altair, but once u get the climb leap ability it will be as fast as Mikini climbed.

:O He lied o me then! Razz Ah well...

By the way, the demo is the same as the TGS one, but you get longer on there, you get to play most of the 9th memory block.

Cool, not sure how much time I'll have to play, last year it was more a case of helping others through but hopefully I'll get chance for a good run through Smile

I was there yesterday and it was indeed excellent. After the show went home and through AC1 in to try and 1000 point it and then realised just how far you guys have come with the second one. A phenominal job by all I think!

Cool, did you get to play it? Which one did you play, as there were two different missions set up when I was there?

Just got back from the eurogamer expo at leeds, i went on the second day and well it was by far the longest wait out of all the games in their (when i went anyways) but it was worth every minute of the wait!

You got to play a side mission of assasinating someone (can't remember his name) was a fun demo and i must admit the climbing and movement does feel alot more fluid also the climbing feels like you are putting more effort into it as you have to use the grab button and such when jumping up high.

Combat feels alot different mainly because of the fact there are alot more attacks and ways to kill the guards now, when i was watching people play it alot of people played it different using different methods of killing the enemies.

There was a problem with the version though that i noticed, there was ALOT of bugs... and i really hope that they sort this out which im sure they will, there was also a framerate problem but apparantly that has been fixed.

a couple of things i noticed was the addition to buying merc's this helped in alot of situations when fighting against guards and to get into places, also the effects of your armour after you had been swimming was quite a nice touch. Lastly while i was snooping around a bit i went to a shop and upgraded all my armour as the demo has quite a bit of money for you there seemed like alot of different weapons and alot of choices.

Overall i am very pleased with the game and im glad i have preorderd it and cannot wait to play the full game it does look good i just hope they sort out the bugs i saw today

erm:

1. The major one i saw was ezio just froze and moved in a frozen state, and his full model turned grey, they had to turn it of and the poor guy lost his turn as hed allready done half the mission !

2. next to some ledges you could stand in mid air, this only happend a few times though

3. i was free running across the top of this building and ezio did a swan dive like he does of the building but he was just laying on the floor in that position

the framerate was very stuttery at times when climbing

there was a few.. im sure they will sort it out but just seemed very bug prone

I've seen that nmber two problem before in a gameplay vid for it a while back! lol, I feel bad for the guy th. aNyways, if it's got some bugs, then I'll get used to them.

How were the enemies? Did you take damage every time they striked you? Or can you just keep defending like altair?
