Personally, I've always been quite certain that he was insulting their mothers.

There was an earlier thread about this, and I translated the ones that I heard...
Try searching it... you might find what you're looking for.

At the moment I can't remember the different things he says...

And no... he never insulted their mothers. xD

I made a post on here somewhere, wondering the same thing, giving some examples of how what he'd said sounded to my English-speaking ears, but I can't find that post. Confused

Anyways, here are the ones I've heard and taken the time to write down:

1) way-hach
2) Allah-lwrist-lich (this is the same as your "alaha reslik")
3) rrotolo-Allah-hech
4) tamah-hal
5) ochra-ban-wajzhee

Also, the thing that Altaïr says to Al-Mualim at the end, in the final cutscene. Something like this (from this thread):
Alshaya walaaqa un-mutlak bellikun um mumkin (to which Al-Mualim replied "So it seems..")
Anyone?? Anyone??

Never mind.

PS: Damn, that Forum Search sure comes in handy, when you eventually, after a month or so, realize what parameters to use. Wink2

لا شيء واقع مطلق, بل كلٌ ممكن
"Nothing that is real is forever, but everything is possible."

The exact thing that Altair says to AlMuallim at the end.
That thread is inaccurate.

And from what you have posted that Altair says:
"Wayhak"
In traditional Arabic it means "punishment and suffering", but in "slang", it's more like "you're in trouble".

"Tamahhal"
"Slow down", "watch your step".

The rest I cannot make head or toe out of...
Obviously because they are longer and more difficult for a non-Arabic speaker to grasp...

So that's why you never see any other soldier on horseback then. They prefer to kill them!

Altair says things in Arabic to the guards as well when he's saving citizens. From the guards _and_ from Altair, I have heard something that sounds like "Midoha Al'aih" or "allay". I think it might mean "Die, coward". I'm pretty sure it's not the "Allah" one in Drego's post, though.

But cool, Altair basically says "You're in trouble" When he's confronting those damn citizen-accosting guards. :P

I think 2. or 3. from Drego's post may be "Meet your God" or "Go to God"

No, you cannot guess so blindly only because you see the word "Allah".

That word can be pronounced in at least ten different ways in the Arabic language, with only one being the name of God.

If anybody finds a video in which Altair says these phrases, it would be very easy to translate them... as hearing Arabic, or any other language unknown to the listener, is difficult to write down accurately... >_>

Okay, it was a blind guess. Sorry. :P

Edit: Found one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37wqiqQ2eiw

It's at 1:03. A little indistinct...

"Eghrib an wejhy"

Direct translation:
"Get away from my face"

Although what it actually means is, "Get out of my sight", or "Buzz off!".

Yeah, I just figured that he kept talking about Allah, like a comparison, because he's all-powerful. And so is God. Wink

As I said, my English-speaking ears don't understand Arabic so well. :-/
