Quick summary:

•Story is totally engrossing, like a great movie.
•Feels like a real next-gen action game.
•One-button combat is somewhat unsatisfying, but will make the game accessible to more people.
•Story, worldview, presentation all top-notch.
•At times the map is hard to make out and there are bad camera angles. There are lots of little annoying things like that. (From the 8 review)

Well then I have no idea...The game is finished so they might have played the whole final build! But I doubt it.

Well it doesn't really matter how they got to the conclusions...all that matters is that it got pretty good scores, so we know to expect something great on the 15th!! Oh and it arrives on the 15th right...so we will be able to play it on that same day?

37 out of 40 is a great score, hope to see more like these.
BTW, AC had a combat with a single button, cant believe I didnt know about it

The only REAL thing thats putting me off is the combat, BUT timing is involved and I've heards its fun, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

games get reviews before release all the time. like guitar hero 3 was reviewed in game informer magazine 2 months ago. and if thats Famitsu (or something like that) magazine, they ALWAYS get games early to review. they already reviewed Mario Galaxy and i remember a month before Snake Eater was released they reviewed that as well. not to mention the fact that you dont give a score on a preview. duh.

NO!!! The game HASN'T been released yet, so how could it be a review!?

But you are right there, you don't give a rating on a preview, it must just be how the japanese do their previews.

True. For example, Game Informer already reviewed Mass Effect.

@Lisky: Game reviewers usually get a game earlier than... us. So they can review it. It'll be about a week more before Gamespot and IGN will be doing there own. Yay!

Annoying camera angles are a bit annoying, but I'm sure I'll live. As long as I can see myself PWNing guards. Then I'm good

Most of the reviewers got a speciel xbox (Don't know about the PS3) that can read debug-versions of games. They often get the game before its even gone gold just to try it out.
When the game has gone gold they'll be the first ones to get the game... even before it's released to the publish.
I'm pretty sure it's a real review from Famitsu 360. They've just been alot faster then the other "review-magasins"
