No, people like to display weapons (like paintings and statues for example, and yes it's considered an artform), and a lot of people also cosplay.

Yes... filming youtube videos... that's what I'd use them for...

And while most replicas are made of stainless steel (which is a softer metal) for a longer shelf-life, the Assassin's Creed fighting knife is made of carbon steel; harder, lighter and can hold an edge better. Like all battle-ready blades it does require maintinence for optimal performance. And, to avoid damaging the blade, fighters would try to either dodge an enemy attack or parry it with the flat part of the blade.

I really want a hidden blade... But I'd rather not spend 100+ bucks on one when I can just make one.

I don't know how exactly... I haven't made one myself but I plan to follow one off of a tut from YouTube. Gotta love YouTube.

They don't look as good as the official replicas but, they can be however you want. Sharp, blunt whatever. And you can make one for under $20.

Yeah but the replica comes with all the engravings and true to game appearance. All of the items featured are obviously not for use of play or prop in any way, you'd break them if you mistreated them so. They're for collectors and cosplayers.

Just got word from Redford Films that my order has finally been shipped... after I ordered it over a month ago... after they cancelled that order 2 weeks ago... annoying jerks!

Like I promised, I'll take some pics and post a review in the weapons thread. Which is a few pages back... should I post the review here or keep my promise of posting it there?

Poeple like me love cosplaying and every game or movie has their signature iteams. Assassins Creed has the hidden blade. ^_^

Still working on photos of my collection by the way.

Weapons came in today, they're bigger than I thought. Still cool though, once I get my hands on a decent camera I'll post a proper review.
