I don't think they would count as a shop. The fact that they're in the game is probably just for historical accuracy and so that the courtesan faction has a base of operations. If they offered some kind of service to the player, (don't even say it Angry) then it would probably belong under the "Faction" section.

Hey, I was wondering if you could change your hair in Assassin's Creed II. Since you can change your clothes and hair does grow in 30(?) years.

You will always be carrying one heavy weapon of your choice (sword, axe, hammer, ...) and one small weapon (dagger or knife), so yeah, you can always use the dagger if you want. The same happened in AC 1. You could always use the dagger instead of the sword.

the early movies of AC1 showed altair with a crossbow as well, things change during production, so I wouldn't rely on old video footage from the game.

Difference is, the crossbow was in a rendered movie, not ingame

Awesome.

This makes me wonder if different areas will have different prices. Like, go to Venice for the best prices on potions. Stock up in Rome on all the latest and greatest in armor. Etc.

Awesome more.

Forget stealth. I'm going to hire an entire army of mercenaries.

I wonder if mercenaries can die while fighting for you... I guess they have to since that would be an unfair advantage if they were invincible, but still, I'd hate to be responsible for the deaths of Mario's men...

But it was in the game at one point. You just didn't see it.

They ended up taking it out because you could throw five knives in the time it took to shoot and reload one bolt for the crossbow.

Not to mention, crossbows were like the sniper rifles of their time. Greater rage and accuracy than throwing knives. Where's the fun if you could assassinate your target 5 blocks away?

Hmm, what to buy? Maybe I'll invest most of the money into the villa, that way I can get some money back, then I'll go around buying every weapon and armor to fill up said villa Big Grin

man this economic system is looking epic. I like it more than the Fable 2 one too, it looks more organized for some reason, and thats nice because Fable 2 just got SO confusing in this area...

Im sorry if this has been stated already, but The Altair costume in AC2, is said to be the "best armor" in the game. Im not sure if it is exactly the same altair wears in AC1, but in a gamespot hands on preview, they say the Altair costume is the best you can have in AC2.

I find tht funny... just cuz he didnt have any armor in the first, so how can it be the best in AC2? idk. just figured id put my two cents in.. Wink2
