since AC1's PC edition was delayed but they added some new investigation missions.

Let's suggest some things they can add to AC2's delayed PC version.

It's hard to reflect on a game that hasn't been released yet.

The weapons drop looked kind of awkward for me so I'd suggest that you can have the ability to throw weapons.

Imagine fighting a group of guards after disarming and killing the spear weilder(seeker) the agile runs away. You aim and throw the spear killing him.

Throwing weapons can probably have the same aiming system as the hidden gun.

That is actually a really good idea, i only have one critisism! I'm getting the game on PS 3 and i would preffer the throwing all weapons be on all consoles rather than just on PC. The weapon throwing should only be on say a sword, spar and well dagger. I can't imagine throwing a two handed axe or hammer at someone. But like i said a really good idea would of really liekd to see this in the final game when it comes out.

I like the idea of throwing weapons, but I agree with Impulsez, even though I'm getting the PC version. I think it would be better if they added that in a patch.

Five months is quite a lot of time. Probably enough time for Ubisoft to add an extra map, or extend an existing map, so I'd like to see the PC version receive a bonus, decent sized area added to the kingdom, or maybe a large interior map within a city. Of course that's not exactly fair to console gamers either, so possibly allow them to have the bonus maps as purchasable DLC.

no way.... i don't want to have to purchase an extra map :P.... why can't they do something to the PC version that can ONLY be applied to the PC version maybe because of the controlls or the way u play the game if u get mah drift.... but then again they must of extended the release date for a reason not just incase they need to add something... im sure they did it because they know what they are putting in.

- A lot of extra game content, such as new weapons, upgrades, missions, story, etc. More than just 4 extra mission types though; it didn't make the AC1 wait worth it at all.
- Really cool, game-related, real-world item(s). Not a figurine or a poster, but something we can actually use; replica hidden blade(s), a piece of Ezio's outfit (belt, hooded tunic, cape, etc), something really cool. The MW2 prestige edition comes with a pair of NVGs, which is a bit over-the-top, but you get the idea.
- Exclusive ACIII content; teaser(s), holographic webcam images, concept art, etc.

^At least two of these should make the wait worth it, in my opinion.^
It would make up for all the hype & fun that PC players missed and give us a little hype of our own. The RW items should at least be available for pre-ordered or SE copies.

Ubi didn't extend the release date to put anything extra in, and to my knowledge, have not stated that there will be anything exclusive to the PC version.

I think you're missing the point of this thread Impulsez, which is to discuss ideas for Ubisoft to add to the PC version as compensation for extending the release date so much.

With my suggestion for bonus maps, it's not like you have to buy them, I was just throwing that 'option' out there so that console players wouldn't be completely left out. There's no point shunning ALL of your customers.

Archer Stealth Assassination: Like regular assassination missions, but the targets are replaced by alert archers (the ones in the Kingdom where 'blend' doesn't work) and you have to kill them without being spotted.

Escort: You have to escort an informer to a safe location and fight off any guards that try and attack him. They attack either in pairs or small groups at scripted locations and have a tendency to run away when they suffer casualties.

Rooftop Race: After talking to one informer you have to dash over to another informer within a certain time limit. Like the Flag Collecting challenge, only there's no set path and the contact is usually at a greater distance (such as halfway across a district).

Merchant Stand Destruction: Similar to regular Assassination missions, except this time you have to "assassinate" corrupt merchants by destroying their stalls. Luckily there's always a conveniently-placed guard standing next to each target stall. The escapes are usually annoying.

Wouldn't them adding new things to the PC due to a wait... cause the delay to be even larger?.. I'd rather they fix or whatever their doing now as quick as possible and get it out!

So to answer the forum... Best thing to add to the PC version is a earlier release date!

Maybe they could add an expansion pack detailing how the Assassin-Templar war started.
Lol.

Don't act so bloody indignified.

Those extra things you got in AC1 were MORE than enough.

This is my brand new sig!
...Uhh...

...What can I do with it?

No they weren't, they just replaced some of the more boring missions and didn't add anything to the experience. It was so not worth the wait. Angry Blue Guy

Indignified? How much dignity did Ubisoft leave for the PC gamers? I mean basically labelling all of us pirates and letting us wait half a year after telling us we'd get the game the same day as the console users?

They damn well add something good, because asking full price for a 6 month old game is damn cheeky.

(I know, I already said it hundreds of times, but the delay still makes me furios.)

I've got an idea. All the AC: Lineage episodes on Blu-ray. Preferably other stuff as well.

The thing that I can think of, that I would like to see in the PC version of Assassin's Creed II is nVidia PhysX engine for improved physics.

Apart from technical improvements (including PhysX), there probably won't be anything added that the console versions won't get.

Why? Because nowadays we have DLC's, games including AC2 are prepared for extra content to be added later on. So if the PC were to get anything extra, the consoles will also get it.
Something that sounds a lot more realistic is that the PC version will have all the already released DLC's (by that time) implemented already at no extra cost.
