I just got my "Official Australian Xbox Magazine" and it had a review of Assassins Creed II, heaps of info, screens in a 7 page review.


In there verdict they said

Good:

Deep, involving story.

Gorgeous Environments.

Free-running is still great.

Heaps of side quests.

Bad:

Brief reversion to old ways.

I've never seen double-posting in the same post. I don't see how a "brief reversion to old ways" is a bad thing; the only thing 'wrong' with AC1 is that it was repetitive, if it only happens once I don't think it's bad at all.

Still, not bad. I'm still waiting for Good Game's review, they know their stuff.

one of them are a repeat,

I just check the website every Tuesday to see if there's anything of interest (don't have a TV).

because other things are on during ABC2 time slot

i dont understand why they don't give ac2 a 10/10 since they only found that the breif reversion to the old ways was bad and that isn't necessarily a bad thing

maybe they dont understand there own rating system

Nothing can be perfect.

Just cause it doesn't have any downsides, doesn't mean it couldn't have been better.

It always annoys me when critics dish out 10/10s.

well there nice to see on games that have been in development for over 2 years...ubi deserves it for listening to all those complainers and improving the game. of course nothing is perfect thats why there scales that are built to review video games. why have the scale at all if you wont ever use the higest rating there?

Because it's still a scale. And a more realistic and trustworthy one at that.

yeah thats true lol we need a scale from 5/9...oh wait then the ratings wouldnt go under 4.5...damn scale fails

Personally i'm not too bothered about the reviews from the magazines, the real reviewers are IGN, Gamespot, gametrailers ect.

actually the reviews that are comprised of votes by a large number of people are normally more reliable (unless it's a PS3 or 360 exclusive as the idiots mark down the games they cant play)
