Recently various sites have been reporting that copies of Far Cry 2 are being offered in an email phishing scam targeting Steam users. Kotaku reports..

“The authentic-looking e-mail uses a spoofed, support@steampowered.com address, forwarding recipients to a dummy version of the Steam Community web site. That page simply harvests login and password information, potentially giving the phishing schemers access to personal account information.”

As usual, authentic emails will never request your login and password. If you are a victim of this scam, Valve has instructions on how to recover your Steam account HERE.
